Vipul Amrutlal Shah is gearing up for one more round of heist. Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that the filmmaker, renowned for directing hits like Aankhein and Namaste London, is next directing a heist thriller, starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Shefali Shah, and Abhishek Banerjee in lead roles. 

The project has been titled Hisaab and centers around a bank robbery, similar to Shah’s 2002 critically and commercially hit, Aankhein. Plot and other details have currently been shrouded in secrecy, but it's believed to be a suspenseful thriller with lots of turns, dramatic moments, and intriguing characters with varied motivations. Vipul, Karan Vyas, and Himalay Dave have written this film, which is being produced by Shah’s own banner, Sunshine Pictures, in collaboration with Jio Studios. Amit Trivedi has been roped in for music.

Hisaab marks Vipul's directorial comeback after six years. After directing Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra’s Namaste England in 2018, he turned his attention to production and has since then produced films such as Commando 3, Force 2, Sanak, and The Kerala Story, solidifying Sunshine Pictures as a top Bollywood production house for constantly creating high-quality action movies. His latest directorial venture is one of three upcoming projects lined up under his banner, with the other two set to be directed by Kanishk Varma (Sanak) and Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai fame Apporv Singh Karki. 

This new project also marks Vipul's third collaboration with his actress wife, Shefali Shah, following the Gujarati films Dariya Chhoru (1999) and Waqt: The Race Against Time (2005). It also reunites Shefali with Jaideep Ahlawat after they played childhood lovers in Avinash Arun's highly-praised Three of Us. Additionally, Abhishek Banerjee and Jaideep have previously worked together on Amazon Prime Video's Paatal Lok.
