EXCLUSIVE BUZZ: Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal coming together for Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar

What if The Immortal Ashwatthama couldn't be made because it was too ambitious for Bollywood producers to finance? What if he has been unsuccessful in attempting to make his second film for the last five years despite delivering one of the biggest box office blockbusters with his debut directorial, Uri: The Surgical Strike? Aditya Dhar isn't letting the unpredictable nature of the film industry deter him from beginning a new, equally ambitious project, even in the face of unavoidable failures.

Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that Aditya Dhar has assembled a massive ensemble cast — Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal — for his next action drama, tentatively titled Dhurandhar. Although it's still not contractually signed, they are believed to have been creatively locked, and all other modalities are quickly being worked out. Ranveer will lead the narrative, while Dutt, Madhavan, and Rampal will play equally pivotal roles in this fast-paced, mission-based thriller.

Aditya has been working hard to assemble an A-grade ensemble cast and is ecstatic to have persuaded Singh, Dutt, Madhavan, and Rampal to collaborate on a film for the first time. He has apparently succeeded in bringing them together based solely on the strength of his script, which is supposedly in the vein of Nikkhil Advani’s highly regarded D-Day (2013). Ranveer will play an intelligence officer in this film, while the character details of others are strictly shrouded in secrecy.

Aditya and his brother Lokesh Dhar will produce this movie under their B62 Studios banner, in partnership with a major studio. The project has been billed as a massive budget production, planned to be shot on an unprecedented scale in India and overseas. The director has already begun pre-production and aims to take it on floors towards the end of this year, coinciding with the lead actor’s availability. We reached out to Aditya Dhar for confirmation, but we are yet to hear back from him.
