Vikrant Massey is in high demand following the sleeper success of 12th Fail. The box office victory of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s biographical drama has significantly elevated his position in Bollywood, making him a preferred choice among top filmmakers. Recently seen in Jio Cinema's black comedy thriller, Blackout, the actor already has five projects lined up ahead and is now on the verge of signing another project. 

Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that Vikrant Massey is in final talks to headline Raees director Rahul Dholakia's next movie, produced by Madhu Mantena under his newly reformed Phantom Studios. The film is said to be a psychological thriller and will go on floors around January 2025. Vikrant has verbally committed to the project, and contractual details are quickly being worked out. Details about the plot and Vikrant's character are currently under wraps. 

Vikrant is expected to complete two more projects before embarking on Dholakia's film. He's currently shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's maiden web series revolving around cyber security and will then kick off renowned dialogue writer Niranjan Iyengar’s directorial debut, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which features him in the role of a blind musician. Vikrant is also discussing a romantic drama with Namah Pictures, but that one is yet to be confirmed. 

Rahul Dholakia is also awaiting the release of Excel Entertainment’s disaster thriller, Agni, before starting preparations for this latest project. Agni stars Pratik Gandhi and Divyenndu Sharma as a firefighter and a hotshot policeman, respectively, who begrudgingly join forces to unravel the mysterious surge in citywide fires. The movie is currently in the editing stage and may hit theatres later this year. 

Speaking about his upcoming releases, Vikrant will next be seen alongside Taapsee Pannu, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Sheirgill in Netflix’s Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, premiering worldwide on August 9. He also headlines Ranjan Chandel’s The Sabarmati Report, set for release around September 2024. Furthermore, he also has Dinesh Vijan’s mystery thriller Sector 36 and Bodhayan Roychaudhury’s Talaakhon Mein Ek with Raashi Khanna, both ready for release.
