KGF star Yash’s highly anticipated film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, has added another Bollywood heroine to its cast. Peepingmoon.Com has exclusively learned that Heropanti 2 and Tadap actress Tara Sutaria has been roped in for a pivotal role in the Geethu Mohandas-directed action thriller.
“Tara is overjoyed to have landed a prominent role in such a massive project. She plays one of the two romantic interests of the Kannada superstar, the other being Kiara Advani,” an industry source informed us. The multi-lingual, big-budget film rides on a strong force of female characters and also features Jawan actress Nayanthara and Huma Qureshi in lead roles. Nayanthara will play Yash’s sister, while Huma is expected to take on a negative character.
Billed as an action-packed extravaganza, Toxic is set against the backdrop of the drug mafia that reigned from the 1950s to 70s. Yash, a nationwide sensation following the historic box-office success of KGF Chapter 2, will reportedly portray a stylish gangster in this high-stakes action film. The project plans over 200 days of shooting to achieve an unprecedented scale, promising audiences an uncompromised visual cinematic experience.
Toxic went on the floors in June and is expected to continue shooting through the year, with a theatrical release targeted for April 10, 2025. Yash is currently filming for Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus, Ramayana, and will resume shooting for Toxic in September. The makers are guarded about the film and have not announced the cast, despite the ongoing shooting. Yash and Venkat K Narayana jointly produce this film under their respective banners, Monster Mind Creations, and KVN Productions respectively.
