Indian film director and producer Aanand L Rai is looking forward to his third collaboration with Dhanush for Tere Ishk Mein. The film is reported to be a sequel to Rai’s most celebrated film Raanjhanaa which is tagged as a masterpiece in Indian cinema starring Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor, and Abhay Deol. In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon, Aanand L Rai broke the silence on rumors of the Raanjhanaa sequel.
Speaking to PeepingMoon, Aanand L Rai confirmed that Tere Ishk Mein and Raanjhanaa both are different movies. While Tere Ishk Mein is considered the second part of Raanjhanaa, the director has put the records straight. The upcoming romance drama starring Dhanush has a different story but it is from the world of Raanjhanaa. However, at the core level, the spirit of the 2013 remains intact.
On being asked to address the rumours of Raanjhnaa sequel and share some insights, Aanand said, “It's not a sequel. It is from the world of Raanjhanaa. This story is different. Both the stories (Tere Ishk Mein and Raanjhanaa) are very different. Somewhere at the core level the story's essence is there, let's talk about the tragedy that is similar.”
