Abundantia Entertainment has added another exciting project to its growing slate. Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that the Vikram Malhotra-led company has now tapped Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri to headline its next feature production. Suresh Triveni, known for directing highly-acclaimed Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa, will helm this film, scheduled to get off the ground around March-April 2025.
Plot details are currently being kept close to the vest, but the project is already generating buzz in industry circles for pairing a legendary 1990s actress with one of today’s most sought-after heroines. The film is said to be a comedy drama centered around three characters, with a male lead yet to be locked. Madhuri and Triptii will apparently play a mother-daughter duo in what promises to be an engaging mix of comedy and action, filled with thrilling and dramatic moments.
Madhuri and Triptii have found their second project together even before they're seen in Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming horror comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The Ram Lakhan actress plays a cameo role of a ghost in this Anees Bazmee directorial, set for release during Diwali weekend this year. The film also continues the partnership between Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni, following the success of Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah's 2022 critically acclaimed thriller, Jalsa. Triveni is also directing Anil Kapoor starrer Subedar for the banner, set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video in 2025.
Triptii Dimri has become a top choice for major producers, especially after the success of Animal, and this Suresh Triveni-directed film adds to her already impressive list of upcoming projects. She will next be seen alongside Rajkummar Rao in Raaj Shaandilyaa's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, releasing on October 11, followed by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on November 1, and Dhadak 2 on November 22. In addition, she is set to star in Anurag Basu's romantic film with Kartik Aaryan and Vishal Bhardwaj's action drama with Shahid Kapoor. Triptii is also rumored to be working on a biopic of Parveen Babi, though details of that project remain undisclosed.
Meanwhile, Abundantia Entertainment has a packed lineup of films and series, including Subedar, Chorii 2, Daldal, and a remake of the Malayalam hit Angamaly Diaries. The production house is also developing feature films with directors Jai Mehta, Bhav Dhulia, and Mayank Sharma, signaling an exciting future ahead for the company.
