Netflix India is gearing up for a massive slate of projects over the next two years. In the feature films category, the OTT platform has greenlighted over half a dozen projects with prominent Bollywood actors, filmmakers, and producers. Adding to the roster, they have also just okayed a high-concept creature film.

PeepingMoon.com has exclusively learned that Netflix India is developing a period action-creature movie with ‘Gully Boy’ breakthrough star Siddhant Chaturvedi playing the lead. Plot details are strictly under wraps. However, sources indicate that it's a two-hero project, with casting for the second lead presently underway. “It's a massive-scale production and could possibly become Netflix India's most expensive feature movie to date. It introduces a concept that’s never been explored before in Hindi cinema, and Netflix is placing a significant bet on this captivating creature saga,” an industry source revealed.

Neha Sharma, who previously wrote Abhishek Sharma's ‘Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive’ (2016) and ‘The Zoya Factor’ (2019), will direct this film. She has been working on this project for the past three years, and Netflix recently came on board to bring her vision to life. The film is currently in the final stage of scripting, with preparation simultaneously going on in full swing. Shooting is scheduled to kick off around April 2025.

This Netflix project is the latest addition to Siddhant Chaturvedi’s slew of projects lined up ahead. He will next be seen alongside Triptii Dimri in Dharma Productions' ‘Dhadak 2’ and will follow that up with Ravi Udyawar's untitled musical romance, co-starring Mrunal Thakur. Additionally, he is currently shooting for Vikas Bahl’s romantic comedy, ‘Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling’, where he stars alongside Wamiqa Gabbi and Jaya Bachchan.
