Peeping Moon Exclusive : Vicky Kaushal in potential collaboration with Aditya Chopra; Dhoom 4 and Spy Universe film in discussion

Vicky Kaushal is assembling an ambitious array of films in the coming years. Known for his versatility and dedication, the ‘Sam Bahadur’ actor is collaborating with Bollywood’s most celebrated filmmakers on large-scale projects that could elevate him to new heights of stardom. While he is already working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Laxman Utekar, and Amar Kaushik, PeepingMoon.com has learned that Vicky is also discussing a potential collaboration with Aditya Chopra.

Industry insiders suggest that Vicky and Aditya have met to discuss two potential projects. Though details are yet to be confirmed, there is considerable speculation that the Yash Raj Films head honcho is keen on casting Vicky as the lead in one of his studio’s major franchise films.

“Aditya has grand plans for expanding the YRF Spy Universe and aims to introduce fresh faces to carry forward the legacy established by the Khans. He wants Vicky to headline one of the standalone cop films, bringing new energy to the expanding cinematic universe. However, this is still in the planning stages, as they are waiting to see how ‘Alpha’, the film introducing Alia Bhatt and Sharvari to the Spy Universe, performs at the box office," an insider revealed.

Another project under discussion is the much-anticipated ‘Dhoom 4’. While Ranbir Kapoor is confirmed to play the antagonist, Aditya has proposed that Vicky take on the role previously played by Abhishek Bachchan, portraying the lead cop who chases a new villain in each installment. "’Dhoom’ is a legacy; securing a starring role in such a sought-after franchise could significantly boost one's career. Which of these projects Vicky will commit to depends largely on his availability, as his schedule is packed until April 2026. Both Vicky and Aditya are currently coordinating dates, aiming for a collaboration sometime in 2026," the source added.

Vicky will next be seen playing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Laxman Utekar’s highly anticipated ‘Chhaava’, scheduled for release on February 14. Additionally, he is also set to star alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama, ‘Love and War’, which is expected to finish production by September for a theatrical release during Eid 2026. Following this, Kaushal will begin shooting for Amar Kaushik’s mythological epic ‘Mahavatar’ in late 2025, targeting a Christmas 2026 release.
