Fresh out of the Bigg Boss 14 house, Rahul Vaidya is all set to face his fears and overcome them by participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. The singer is currently in Cape Town, South Africa, with the rest of the team. Hosted by Rohit Shetty, Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 is a stunt-based show and the contestants apart from Rahu are Abhinav Shukla, Nikki Tamboli, Divyanka Tripathi, Shweta Tiwari, Sourabh Raaj Jain, Arjun Bijlani, Varun Sood, Sana Makbul, Vishal Aditya Singh, Anushka Sen and Aastha Gill. 

Now, as Rahul has kickstarted the shoot of Khatron Ke Khiladi 11, PeepingMoon.com got in touch with him for a fun conversation. Talking to us, Rahul told that he has a terrible fear of snakes and water. The Bigg Boss 14 first runner-up revealed that his ladylove, actress Disha Parmar, was offered the show before him. The singer also spoke about reuniting with his Bigg Boss 14 nemesis Abhinav and 'friend' Nikki. 

Excerpts from the interview:

What prompted you to say yes to Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 right after Bigg Boss 14. Didn't you feel like taking a break from reality shows?

Well, Khatron Ke Khiladi is quite an exciting show. I spoke to a few people who have already done it and they said, "You must do it". I was excited to travel to South Africa to do it because it is a different kind of show. It is about overcoming your own fears and not competing with others. 

Did your journey in Bigg Boss 14 prepare you mentally for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11?

No, honestly there was no preparation for Bigg Boss 14. Similarly, there is no preparation for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. You have to keep calm and try to be the best in the stunts. 

Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi go hand in hand. Do you agree?

It is on the same network so, in that ways, they go hand in hand but they are extremely different shows. Bigg Boss is a complete all-day reality show and this is a stunt-based fun show. Ismein ladayi jhagde nahi hote hai. 

Khatron Ke Khiladi usually needs intense training and prep. Apart from the gym, how did you prepare in the lockdown? 

Honestly, I wanted to learn to swim. But due to the lockdown and how the situation is, access to the swimming pool was denied. I would have loved to be a good swimmer before I did the show. But, I kept myself fit and happy because the show isn’t about fitness and all. It is about keeping your cool. 

Do you think the larger-than-life experience of Khatron Ke Khiladi will be affected due to the ongoing pandemic?

I don’t think the image of Khatron Ke Khiladi will be affected because we are shooting in a different country and are in a closed unit with every member tested for COVID-19. Luckily snakes don’t have COVID-19 so that shouldn’t be a problem (quips).

You said you have fear of snakes and water. How will you overcome it?

I have a terrible fear of snakes and water. Well, I’ve said yes to the show but I don’t know what do I do with it and how I will deal with it. Let’s see, ho jayega kuch na kuch. 

Did you wish to participate with Disha Parmar this time?

In fact, Disha was offered Khatron Ke Khiladi before me. She isn’t a cutout for these shows, she is too sweet for it. But, good she isn’t doing as snakes and all is very scary and creepy. 

You will be marrying Disha Parmar this year. The chances of physical injury during Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 are always high. Does this ever bother you?

I know there have been injuries. Let’s hope positively that I come back in one piece. I want this to be the last reason for any delay in our wedding.  

You and Abhinav Shukla weren’t on the same page in the Bigg Boss 14 house. Are you planning to start afresh with him?

I’m not a guy who holds grudges all my life. I believe in taking it as it comes. I’m expecting a good show and a different experience. I’ll be the same way the other person will be with me. If the other person is good, I'll be good too. 

Nikki Tamboli is also participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. Will you try to erase past memories with her and start a new chapter in your friendship?

Like I said for Abhinav, I don’t have any personal grudges. I am excited to do the show with both of them.
