Sanjay Leela’s Padmavati clearly needs no introduction. From breaking records to endless controversies, Bhansali’s Masterpiece has hogged all the possible limelight, along with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh who’re playing Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji. With so much of focus on the movie, director and the off-screen couple, Shahid Kapoor seemed to be in the shadow, until now! The wait finally comes to a happy ending with Shahid Kapoor who’s playing the role of Maha Rawal Ratan Singh, looking fiercer than ever with the release of the song – Ek Dil, Ek Jaan.
The song starts with Mr. Kapoor looking every bit royal, clad in emerald green and orange attire. Taking this look up a notch are his beaded baubles and royal turban, embroidered with pearls and emeralds, of course. And just when you can’t seem to take your eyes off him, he cuts off into a sheer, gold suit with a pair of embellished, to-die-for 'mojris.' Only if we knew, where those shoes were sourced from! Though the outfits are designed by coturier duo Rimple and Harpreet Narula.
Besides making jaws drop in his Maharaja avatar, Bansali’s style team struck gold as they give him the finishing royal touches with just the amount of red 'tika' and intricate men’s earrings.
From his washboard ABS to his royal red armour, Kapoor’s sartorial choices in the movie were beyond impressive.
It’s not just the on-screen chemistry between the protagonists that will transport you to the land of Mughals, but also Shahid’s regal sartorial touch that will completely leave you spell-bound.
From the beard to the scar to every detailed and intricate ensemble, Shahid Kapoor looks almost like a spitting image of Maha Rawal Ratan Singh.
What do you guys think?
