Chandni, Mr. India, Lamhe: Sridevi's most iconic looks

It was just a few days back we saw the yesteryear actress Sridevi having a gala time at her Nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding in Dubai. But with the recent news of her untimely demise, after suffering a cardiac arrest, has shook the entire nation. While the entire Bollywood fraternity and the country is trying to process this shocking news, here's a look back at all her iconic roles, in memory of the industry's most shining star.

Janbaaz:

The legendary actress who had a cameo role in Feroz Khan's Janbaaz, made her presence felt in a chiffon red saree, while dancing to the hit song, 'Har kisiko nahin milta'. The veteran actress made hearts flutter, with this breathtaking one-of-a-kind performance.

Chandni:

The first thought that comes to our mind when someone talks about this movie is Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi dancing on the hit song 'Oh meri Chandi' on the snow-clad mountain.

From the film's music turning out to be the biggest blockbuster of the year to Sridevi's white outfit's revolutionizing fashion, every girl back then, wanted to copy the 'Chandni' avatar.

Mr. India:

While this movie had the kids hooked to their seats, courtesy - Mogambo and Calendar, it was Sridevi's Hawa Hawai performance which stole the show. Remember how this diva made a head-to-toe gold outfit, including a gold crown, work in 1987? Be it her bubby on-screen persona to her sensuous performance in 'Kaante nahi kat the', the actress was simply amazing.

Lamhe:

Sridevi dancing on 'Morni Baaga Mein Naache' in this iconic blue and yellow saree went on to acquire a cult status.

Himmatwala:

A remake of the Telgu hit Ooriki Monagadu, this blockbuster movie kicked off Sridevi's partnership with Jeetendra and hailed her as one the best dancing actors in the country. Plus, Sridevi was responsible for starting a who new era of fancy costumes.

Naagin :

Playing Nagin may not be on every A-lister's priority, but Sridevi made playing Nagin too cool for school. Nailing her look beautifully, Sridevi's pink corset and serene white lehenga became one of the most stylish costumes, back in the day. The popular song 'Main teri dushman' with another legend Amrish Puri, as the dastardly snake charmer, is one song which is till date remembered with great enthusiasm.

Khuda Gawah:

The film saw Sridevi in a whole new avatar. The diva brought dreamy bohemian into the picture with her heavy junk jewelry, beaded turbans, loose clothes, and heavy makeup. This larger-than-life movie co-starring Amitabh Bachchan gained a huge cult following of it's own.
