The Konkani Wedding
The Konkani wedding was what can only be called as pristine and dreamy. A dynamic mix of silks and satins blended with red, whites and metallic hues made for a very picturesque view.
The groom was seen in a plush white Sabyasachi kurta with intricate embroidery details and a border in gold. We're loving the good-boy, side-parted hair on Ranveer, it's a fresh element on him.

The bride, in contrast, was seen in her mother's reddish-copper hued Kanjeevaram saree, which she paired with traditional jhumkas, choker necklaces, maathapatti along with kadas and bangles from the Sabyasachi. While for the glam, strong kohl eyes and nude brown lips was a surprise as it fit right to balance their looks. The low bun and the gajra were just what was needed to complete the look.
While the colors were vivid against each other, the whole palette fit together like yin and yang, complimenting each other...just like the couple itself.
All in all, elegance in simplicity personified.
The sindhi-punjabi wedding
While the Konkani wedding looks were all about sublime sophistication, the Sindhi-Punjabi wedding looks were nothing less than an ocean of reds and pinks. Deepika's custom, red Sabyasachi lehenga has broken the internet.
The heavy embroidery, intricate details and the utter sophistication even after it being a loud number has left the frazzled fashion police in awe. The exquisite jewelry that included the chandbali earrings, the big choker set, maang teeka and the kadas that she donned with her traditional chuda set were all custom-made under Sabyasachi's label.
Ranveer's sherwani was also a curated Sabyasachi creation. The groom's pag and embroidered shawl were also matching the color palette and patterns of their outfits. Sabya made sure to blend the reds and pinks of their outfits so as it compliments each other. We also love how Deepika's nude glam, neatly-blended smokey eyes and brown lip let her outfit steal all the limelight. Well, believe it or not, DP's setting the yesteryear's 'Red lehenga and nude makeup' trend right back on track and oh, how we're digging it!
What left us stunned is that although these outfits are as bold as the colors get, but none of them looked out of place. On the contrary, they fit right in harmony as it should. We also love how the Konkani color palette and the Sindhi-Punjabi color palette are so vivid yet define their cultures with utter precision.
Well, DeepVeer are doing some serious trend-setting with their wedding. They've set the bar rather high for the ones to tie a knot in future. As dreamy as it gets, who wouldn't want something like this for their special day?
