PeepingMoon2018: Sabyasachi to Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, designers who ruled the roost this year!

2018 has opened the floodgates to many sartorial trends and styles. From structured couture ensembles to intricate details on wedding trousseau that hold meaning for the to-be-weds, we love a little (or too much) modish drama.

Some designers ruled the wedding world, others were a bespoke choice for the folks of tinsel town, while some labels struck as a bridesmaids to-go choice some served as the absolute option for the to-be brides.

PeepingMoon.com exclusively brings to you all the designers that left a big mark on our sartorial senses this year:

Sabyasachi

Sabyasachi ruled 2018, enough said! From creating curated bridal trousseaus, to being the industry's ultimate choice for the shaadi season, the designer has created ensembles for the to-be-weds and the baaraatis alike.

From Ranveer Singh's and Deepika Padukone's detailed ensembles to Priyanka Chopra's Hindu wedding lehenga up until coordinated outfits for the Ambanis, the designer has done it all this year.

If that wasn't enough, the folks of B-town turned to the designer for help even at events and red carpets. Kangana Ranaut's Cannes look being one of the highlights of the designer this year!

Bow down to the king, Sabyasachi sada amar rahe!

Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

Well, grandeur, vogue and intricate details deriving meaning from and for the sentiments of the client is what AJSK focused on as a label this year. From embellished drapes to curated lehengas, the designers have done it all.

Both Deepika and Priyanka turned to the designer for their Reception outfits, while Isha Ambani's wedding ensemble was the label's ethereal creation.

During the festive season too, the label was the ultimate choice for our Bolly folks. Sara Ali Khan's recent style file can confirm that!

A year of good yield indeed!

Manish Malhotra

MMalhotra World ruled at the fresh fashion department this year. From experimenting with trends and inculcating those fads with traditional ensembles, the designer has curated and created a lot of statement looks this year.

Tassels, bell sleeve, embellishments, and heavy embroidery, from heavy blouses and fun lehengas till fancy, glamorous drapes, the designer has left no stone (or trend) unturned.

The majority of tinsel folk has chosen the label as their ultimate choice, if not in words then by their #OOTD's. The boys of B-town are not left far behind, check it out!

We love!

Falguni Shane Peacock

Oh.My.God! (gushing hard) This is the first reaction whenever we see an FSP ensemble. Be it during the shaadi season, on the red carpet or at a couture event, Falguni Shane Peacock has emerged as one of the brightest at greatest this year.

Ruling the applique and embellishment trend, FSP ensembles have an element of sophistication, traditionality, and contemporary vogue all at the same time.

From Priyanka's reception lehenga to Khushi Kapoor's prom dress till being Beyonce Knowles' choice for not one but three events this year, FSP has achieved a lot of milestones domestically and internationally.

Keep ruling you two, you have our heart!

Anamika Khanna

Anamika Khanna made a massive comeback this year. With Sonam's bridal trousseau ensembles and Deepika's Times 100 creation, 2018 kickstarted with a bang for the designer.

From being a festive season favorite to becoming a red carpet and bridal regular, sufficed to say that 2018 has been a great year for the designer and her label.

Above all, 'THE' Oprah Winfrey wore her creations just recently and we swore we've seen everything in life!

Great comeback, wouldn't you agree?

Amit Aggarwal

Stunning pieces, structured ensembles with a hint of edgy and a whole lot of sophistication.
Classy, spunky, fresh and contemporary, Amit Aggarwal has caused quite a storm this year. Shilpa Shetty's drape, to Diana Penty's couture gown, we're in awe of the detail and edginess in his ensembles.

Couture fanatics, watch out for this beast! Making a mark and how!

Tarun Tahiliani

Glamourous and fabulous, Tarun Tahiliani has kept those elements intact in his creations. As much as we love today's trends, we also know that simplicity merged with traditional ensembles is the best #OOTD one can sport.

Although old-school and undisturbed by the changes, Tarun's creations have never failed to surprise us.

So if you ask us how we'd describe Tarun Tahiliani's ensembles we'd have to say, pure grace and elegance.

Arpita Mehta

Fun prints, fresh embroidery, and contemporary trends merged with traditional designs, Arpita Mehta's designs are like a fresh breath of air for this year's fashion archives. Combining colors, prints, textures, and embroidery to create something fun and very millennial is what Arpita Mehta brought to the table.

Ruffled sarees, printed shararas and off-shoulder co-ords sets, we are in awe of the elements that go behind the ensembles. And needless to say, we're always left wanting some more.

Who doesn't love a little fickle and fun?

Jade by Monica and Karishma

Jade as a label has stunned us all. Festive clothing at it's best, Jade has a taste and niche for everyone with their unique and stylish ensembles.

Keeping the traditional aspect of the ensembles intact, Jade tried to corroborate today's trends with classic work like embroidery, embellishments, and motifs.

All in all, modish and magical is how we would describe Jade's creations.
