Color blocked

One of the major trends that we witnessed this year at the Golden Globes was the splash of colors on the eyes. All red or all blue, the color blocking was a definite hit at the red carpet this year.  Lili Reinhart and Camila Belle were absolute stunners while Lupita Nyong’o added a spark to her look with the colored mascara.

The red lipstick

You know what we’re talking about when we say the red lipstick! Taylor Swift, Gemma Chan, Dakota Fanning, Kate Mara and Patricia Clarkson amongst the many others embraced this trend.

One more trend which was exhausted this year was the wine lip, but we gotta say that Claire Foy and Rebecca Rittenhouse wore it with utmost elegance.

Lovin the edginess!

The ultra glam gowns

We cannot stop obsessing over all the glam-bam ensembles we saw at the red carpet this year. From Taylor Swift’s Versace to Irina Shayk’s dripping gold number, up until Gemma’s and Rosamund Pike’s ravishing ensembles, we love the show that these ladies put on at the red carpet.

While minimalistic and fuss-free, the ensembles were ultra glam and utterly sexy. Guess who had a hard time getting over these dresses? Sartorial hangover is definitely a thing!

Larger than life ensembles

Lady Gaga’s periwinkle dress, Gemma Chan’s royal blue number, Lili Reinhart’s red ruffled goodness and Emmy Rossum’s all pink number, you know exactly what we’re talking about!

Need we say more?

Retro hairstyles

Amber Heard’s old Hollywoodish glam and Claire Foy’s retro curls gave us major feels at the red carpet. We also loved the retro waves that many leading actresses carried at the ceremonies.

While we’ve seen these before, there’s no denying that these looks are utter classics. Well, wouldn’t you agree?

The classic nude glam

Nude makeup, although exhausted way more than it’s capacity, is an absolute red carpet favourite. From eons ago till eons to come, the understated nude glam is definitely going to live a glamorous long life. Constance Wu, Julia Roberts, and Kristen Bell are proof enough that this trend is bulletproof!

We agree 200%, what are your views?

The Slit

The thigh-high slit is back in vogue! From the likes of Georgia Fowler and Irina Shayk till our ultra-glam Lucy Boynton and Gemma Chan, the trend made a striking comeback on the red carpet and we’re more than just ecstatic.

Don't forget Taylor Swift and Anne Hathaway!

Slitting through them trends and how!
