Arpita Mehta has always been the one to fuse intricate details in her designs. Back at it with her latest collection, the new-gen designer has an exciting collection called 'Folklore' for your disposal and we can't be more ecstatic.
While any usual S/S19 collection would feature pastels and tone-on-tone details to keep it light and airy, Arpita's ensembles are all about the pop of colours and traditional embroidery fused with bandhini.
Shell details, mirror-work and Ahir embroidery also found a part in this collection.
Celebrating the ancient craft of traditional Gujarati textile designing, Folklore is design-poetry that fuses the traditionalism with modern silhouettes, making them more relevant to the current audience.
Stark pop-colors like molly pink, electric blue, parrot green, sunbeam yellow and vanilla whites made it to the collection, with bandhini, intricate embroidery, mirror-work and shells finding their way on the ensembles.
