Welcome back beloved Peeping Moon readers, we are back with our Saturday special fashion segment- Television Moonwalk but with a festive twist. This Diwali, our telly celebs were out and about the city looking their traditional best and we are drowning in all this sartorial goodness. Some divas and dapper dudes looked absolutely patakha while some were a disappointing phuski bomb! Check out where your favourite TV celeb stands on this week’s festive fashion meter.
So the rules of this festive edit are very simple. Instead of numbers, we have categorized our celebs by various bombs and crackers. The highest category being the Atom bomb is basically a bullseye. Following the Atom bomb we have Lakshmi bomb and Sutli bombs which are as good as an Atom but missed a perfect 10 by some points. Lavangi patakhas and phuljhadis are those that made an effort but couldn’t make a lasting impression and we don’t have to tell you what Phuski bombs are (quite self-explanatory, aren't they?)! Ready? Let’s check it out!
KARISHMA TANNA
Our clear winner this festive season is none other than Karishma with 3 bang-on looks! From her serene blue Aroka drape to her studded and embellished Ridhima Bhasin ensemble and lastly her mesmerizing Vvani lehenga…Tanna won fair and square.
She paired her elegant six yards with a subtle glam and vintage accessories from Silver Streak and Silver Palace.
Statement jumkis from Minerali store and a radiant glam with bold lips was all that she needed for this look.
Karishma decked up like a doll in this one with a radiant glam, nude lips and encrusted accessories from Golecha’s Jewels.
KRYSTLE D’SOUZA
Krystle shone bright like a diamond in her scintillating lehenga from label Aaryaa. She went high on glam with shimmery eyes, glossy nude pout and a twisty hairdo.
Here’s another look donned by Krystle this festive season.
She paired her embellished lehenga by Papa Don’t Preach with a pair of statement-making danglers. Kohl rimmed eyes, nude lips and wild curls gave finishing touches to her look.
AAMNA SHARIF
Aamna swept us off our feet dressed in a mirror embellished ethnic lehenga from Abhinav Mishra. A statement-making encrusted chocker from Satyani Fine Jewels accentuated her serene attire. Kohl-rimmed eyes, blushed cheeks, nude lips and soft curls took her look to another level!
MOUNI ROY
Mouni lit up the soiree with her ravishing look in Mayyur Girotra Couture and we are drowning it its feels. She teamed up her embellished and floral lehenga with earrings from Minerali that accentuated her look furthermore. With smokey eyes, red lips and wavy curls, she looked festive ready.
RIDHIMA PANDIT
Ridhima’s Diwali look in an embellished Kaaisha lehenga teamed up with jewels from Gehna and Anmol surely deserves a mention.
KARAN SINGH GROVER
Karan looked every bit dapper in his jet black Tarun Tahiliani sherwani and we couldn’t have asked for more!
PARTH SAMTHAAN
Parth was dressed to kill in a black pleated asymmetrical kurta from Label J. Boys, sit down and take notes!
WALUSCHA DE SOUZA
Waluscha knocked it out of the park with her dazzling lehenga from Falguni Shane Peacock and jewels A.S Motiwala. Soft curls and a radiant glam rounded off her look.
ANITA HASSANANDANI
Anita took an indo-western route for the festive season with her embellished and ruffled separates from Seema Thukral. That intricately detailed cape surely added on to the look of her attire.
JAY BHANUSHALI AND MAHHI VIJ
Jay and Mahhi shelled out couple goals decked up in pastel ethnic ensembles. Mahhi cut out an elegant picture in her ruffled ensemble from Sionnah that featured dramatic balloon sleeves. Jay looked equally dapper standing beside his darling wifey in a pastel kurta pyjama.
NIA SHARMA
Nia opted for a pastel embellished lehenga from Kalki Fashions which she paired with a pair of danglers and a maang-tika from Minerali and The Jewel Gallery. Well, no love no hate for the outfit, but we wish he could have opted for bold colours.
ANKITA LOKHANDE
Ankita paved way for the festivities in a green embellished saree from Soshai that was high on feather detailing. An elegant neckpiece from TDF added on to the bling affair of her attire. We liked her ethnic look, but too many feathers maybe?
SHABIR AHLUVALIA AND KANCHI KAUL
Shabir and wifey Kanchi made an appearance at a Diwali party dressed in embellished ensembles. Given their ability to flaunt risqué couture, we feel this one was a bit downer. Also, casual slip-ons don't really go with your embellished kurta, Shabir. We wish to see you bouncing back, guys! Also,
KARAN PATEL AND ANKITA BHARGAVA
Karan and Ankita failed to sizzle on our festive fashion charts this time around. How we wish they could have tried their hand with something else!
Well, that brings us to the end of the festive edit of our Moonwalk. Until the next week!
