Moonwalk: New stuff! Jacqueline Fernandez brings ‘Arabian Nights’ jewels to life while Radhika Apte leaves us mesmerized with her hypnotic look

Hey, there readers, the weekend is here and so is our weekly fashion segment- Moonwalk! With events and promotions happening all around the city, our celebrities are going out and about, putting their best fashion foot forward!

So, here’s a compilation of all the sartorial hits and misses for the entire week. Buckle up for a fashion ride:

RADHIKA APTE

Not just in films and web series, Radhika scored big in the fashion arena at the International Emmy Awards 2019 with her Iris van Herpen gown. Turns out she is the first Indian celebrity to make an appearance in this elite designer’s creation. Styled by Who What When, Radhika dazzled at the red carpet with her well-sculpted gown featuring delicate patterns and structural elements that created a hypnotic affect. She completed her mesmerizing look with her statement red lips and a pulled back bun.

And that’s how you nail the Emmys!

MALAIKA ARORA

Styled by Maneka Harisinghani, Malaika knocked it out of the park with her recent blingy looks and we are sold!

Opting for a risqué neck and shimmers, the Chaiyya Chaiyya star looked absolutely ravishing in this haute number from Alina Anwar Couture that bore details like a plunging neckline and a wrap slit high on the thigh. An encrusted emerald neckpiece from Diosa Jewels added to the bling affair of her attire.

For look two, Malla chose to sizzle in this encrusted Yousef Al Jasmi couture. Her sequined, knee slit number ruched its way in the middle and accentuated those envy-worthy curves. Dainty diamond danglers from Gehna Jewellers added just the right element of sparkle to her shimmery look.

JANHVI KAPOOR

Styled by Mohit Rai, Janhvi flaunted a ruched asymmetrical skirt with a crop tank tee from label Wesley Harriott. That crop turtleneck top added a neon twist to her classy white ensemble. Those holographic pointy pumps from Public Desire were hard to miss. Janhvi opted for a dewy face with soft glam and a shiny nude pout to let her trendy look steal all the limelight. Center parted poker straight tresses complemented her barely-there makeup.

KARAN JOHAR

Karan looked sharp in a crisp white shirt and trousers from Dolce & Gabbana. A fancy bow tie and an embroidered velvet blazer added a glamour element to his attire. As they say, it’s all in the details; those fancy buttons on the blazer totally stole the show!

SHAHID KAPOOR

Styled by Anisha Jain, Shahid in this textured Gaurav Gupta grabbed all the attention at the soiree. He paired his black and gold blazer with a smart turtleneck and suave shoes from Shutiq.

KANGANA RANAUT

Boss bae Kangana made quite an appearance at the airport in her suited up avatar flaunting an elite Hermès Birkin with a value of approx. 14 lakhs! She paired her beige stripe suit with a similar hued turtleneck and a pair of suede tan boots. Those geeky glasses surely added to her bossy dramatic attire!

JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ

Styled by Chandini Whabi, Jacqueline channelled her inner Jasmine in this custom made, encrusted jewel mask from Falguni Shane Peacock which accentuated her shimmery eyes, contoured cheeks, and pink luscious lips. She paired her ornate mask with a heavily encrusted neckpiece that left us SHOOK!

Her jewel-encrusted golden top was paired with pristine white harem pants that featured an ornate waistband similar to her face mask. This time, more than her Arabian Nights inspired costume, it was her face jewel mask and pristine accessories that stole the show!

Straight out of a fairytale

POOJA HEGDE AND RHEA CHAKRABORTY

Brining us some shoe-spiration, Pooja and Rhea schooled us on how to work on a chic winter look, effortlessly! Pooja opted for a satin shirt dress with knotted sleeves and a cinched waist belt to go with her suede knee-length boots. Rhea similarly opted for a white shirt dress as well but paired her outfit with off white leather boots that were high on the thigh. Which version of the boot look did you prefer more?

KRITI SANON

Styled by Sukrit Grover, Kriti sported a printed co-ord set from Ridhima Bhasin that gave us all the indie vibes. Her co-ords featured printed and palazzo pants which she teamed up with a black crop top and a ruffled flowy cape. Chunky silver accessories from Sangeeta Boochra added on to the vintage affair of her look. With a radiant glam and textured curls, she looked promotion ready.

PATNI AUR WOH- ANANYA PANDAY AND BHUMI PEDNEKAR

These days, Ananya and Bhumi are out and about the city prompting their upcoming film, Pati Patni Aur Woh.

Styled by Ami Patel, Ananya looked classy in this crop and blazer look from Dafna May. She teamed up her cropped bralette top and blazers with knee-length pants. Tangy tied up Public Desire heels added a contrasting effect to her attire. Layers of necklaces accessorized her look. With a subtle glam and a chic bun, she was good to go.

While one pulled off the blazer look, the other wasn’t quite there yet!

We have mixed feelings about Bhumi’s blazer look. Teaming up her cape blazer with knee-length pants, she seemed to have missed the plot here. Although, we are sure our beloved Vedika will return with a bang next week!

Fine line

SWARA BHASKAR

We have mixed feelings about Swara’s recent ethnic look from Raw Mango. The colours don’t blend together, nor do the accessories compliment her attire. We wish she could have chosen something else for the soiree!

Well…

HUMA QURESHI

Styled by Kavita Lakhani, Huma’s quirky look in Mash didn’t manage to impress us this time. Her printed, ankle-length jumpsuit paired with a tangy tank top was a tad bit offbeat. Given her sound sartorial past, we feel that this look leaves us with an unpleasant feeling!

SPECIAL MENTION- 'KI AND KA' A.K.A KIARA ADVANI AND KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN

Making it a bling affair, Kaira and Kareena dazzled in scintillating couture and oh boy, we are blinded by its light!

Styled by Lakshmi Lehr, Kiara shone brightly on the song launch event of her upcoming film Good Newwz in a sequined number from Song of Style and Appapop. Layers of accessories from Misho accentuated her plunging neckline. With blushed cheeks, nude lips and textured waves, she looked a slay bae!

While one dazzled on the song launch, the other dazzled in the song itself. Although, it is a film outfit, Kareena's sequined look in the song Chandigarh Mein is too good to be missed!
