It's been five years since Alessandro Michele has been supporting the bold and the modish with his collections. With every collection serving a message, Alessandro has made sure he uses the brand's voice for the greater good!
This time is no different! Blurring gender roles and codes of fashion yet again, Gucci's FW collection questions masculinity and also seeks inspiration from PrincessCharlotte's wardrobe; check it out!
According to the collection note, 'celebrate a man who is free to practice self-determination, without social constraints, without authoritarian sanctions, without suffocating stereotypes.'
Be it diversity of silhouettes, hues or gender-fluid ensembkes and accessories, it was a wave of revolution on the runway. Challenging masculinity and it's ways in the society, slogans acting as gentle provocation were seen; ’Impatience/Impotence,’ reads one T-shirt, while the other reads 'Think/Thank'.
The little girl dress reminded us of Princess Charlotte's modish ways, while the boy shorts and baby ties represented the inner child of every man.
Rendering us speechless as always, Gucci's showcase on the runway left us gaping for more! Take a bow, Alessandro!
