Bold unabashed and Bollywood’s budding fashionista Sara Ali Khan has pleased us with her sartorial choices on an off duty day or a red carpet appearance. However, during the promotions of Love Aaj Kal, we were a tad bit disappointed with this diva’s style file. Given her sound sartorial past, we feel that Sara is side-tracked a little this time around.

Opting for baggy crops, neon skirts, oversized shirts and uncomfortable dresses, Sara brought nothing new to the table. Either it was super mini dresses or ethnic wear. How we wish stylist Lakshmi Lehr could have explored more options that gave justice to her beauty. Take a look at her promotional wardrobe below:

NEON OVERDOSE

Sara’s sequined pony Stone top and latex neon Nasty Gal skirt failed to work its charm. Be it the in-your-face sequined top or an overdose of neon with skirt heels or nails, there was nothing right about this look.

POPPING PRINTS GONE WRONG

Sporting bland looks from Pink Porcupine and H&M, Sara did not manage to create an impression. Be it unicorn couture or satin co-ords, these outfits failed to give justice to her beauty.

This overwhelmingly printed SHIVAN & NARRESH did not create any magic either!

JUST BLAND

Given her ability to carry anything with utmost finesse and style, we feel this one is a bit downer. This OTT strapless top or those hotshots are not complementing her physique at all.

Also, teaming striped and neon blue shirt with a maroon blingy asymmetrical skirt is a big NO!

We have seen Sara do a polka look before but this Dhruv Kapoor ensemble isn’t helping her case this time around!

Another downer look dressed in Papa Don’t Preach. Crop tees with embellished skirts are done and dusted! Break out of the mould, Sara!

Umm this The Kript X Tohns look is quite basic for our taste!

Well...no comments!

We have mixed feeling about this asymmetrical striped bandage dress with off-shouldered sleeves.

Not a fan of this layered Alina Cerntescu look either. It failed to complement her features.

SAME OLD DESI VIBES

When it comes to nailing the desi looks, Sara has an upper hand, certainly. However, this time we were not really fond of her ethnic looks. Be it the floral overdose in Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor sharara or unappealing stripes in Mayyur Girotra, nothing seemed to have worked for her. Given her svelte figure, we wish she could have tried her hand with something else.

Same old, same old! This ethnic sharara Manish Malhotra was a decent outfit but very repetitive when it comes to Sara.

Although there were two looks that were quite bearable from her style closet:

Sara opted for a futuristic Amit Aggarwal strapless metallic dress with a subtle glam. We are not saying it was a path-breaking look, but it wasn’t that bad either.

For one of her promotional appearances, Sara flaunted an asymmetrical number from label ATELIER ZUHRA. This was quite different from the rest of her looks so it made the cut!
