Nykaa Femina Beauty Awards 2020 which was held in Mumbai on February 18, 2020, surely paved way for a sartorial soiree. Many tinsel town beauts and handsome hunks made an appearance on the red carpet putting their best fashion foot forward. While some stood out from the rest of the lot, others failed to make an appearance with their bland looks.

DEEPIKA PADUKONE
The one that surely stole the show for us was Deepika Padukone. Breaking her quirk streak, Deepika left us spellbound on the red carpet of the soiree in her classy black gown from Yanina Couture. Be it the risqué plunge that gave a sneak peek of her torso or ruffled tulle sleeves, her figure-skimming outfit was certainly high on drama. Twisty earrings and layers of diamond necklaces added a perfect amount of dazzle to her all-black attire. On the beauty front, DP opted for shimmery brown eyes, nude lips, filled-in brows and textured waves to go with her look.
ANUSHKA SHARMA
Bringing sophistication to the red carpet, Anushka made them stop and stare with her molten gold look in Swapnil Shinde couture that was fresh off the runway from the label’s SS20 collection. She teamed up her textured dress with golden pumps, elegant drop earrings from Diosa and rounded off her look with a nude pout, shimmery eyes and a classic pulled back bun. Well, we are absolutely on board with this look, but we feel structured shoulders and thigh slits have become a patent look for Nush, nowadays. We really wish to see her break the mould.
KATRINA KAIF
Katrina opted for a pristine white gown from label Alex Perry that came with structured billowy sleeves, a thigh-high slit and a sexy plunging neckline. However, she decided to round off her classy white gown with same old nude glam and a poker straight hairdo. We wish to see this beauty entrepreneur experiment more with her looks.
SAPNA PABBI
Sapna looked ravishing in a black cut-out gown from label Karn Malhotra that accentuated her envy-worthy curves. A delicate diamond neckpiece elevated the look of her sweetheart neckline while that thigh-high slit gave us a sneak peek of her toned legs. With a radiant glam and soft curls, she looked red carpet ready!
RAKUL PREET
Rakul slayed this mighty-whitey look from label EVYATAR MYOR with oodles of sass. Her high neck gown was high on glamour with details like cape shoulders, a bareback and a ruched thigh slit. She rounded off her look with a luscious red pout and grungy pulled back hairdo.
MALAVIKA MOHANAN
Malavika looked serene draped in six yards from Falguni Shane Peacock. Her embellished saree was paired with a sexy noodle strapped blouse. Opting for a no-accessory look and a subtle glam, she was good to go.
SHRUTI HAASAN
Shruti made quite a scintillating appearance in a Swapnil Shinde number that was fresh off the runway from the label’s SS20 collection. She teamed up her cold-shouldered billowy sleeved couture with minimal accessories from Outhouse. A striking wine pout and centre-parted hairdo rounded off her look.
RHEA CHAKRABORTY
Rhea made an appearance in a mirror embellished ensemble from Pankaj & Nidhi that featured a plunging neckline and a slit high on the thigh. Well, same old, same old!
RADHIKA MADAN
Radhika turned up at the gala in a hot pink strapless and thigh-slit gown from Mandira Wirk. Given her sartorial past, this is one of her done-to-death looks. Explore more, girl!
ADITI RAO HYDARI
This co-ord number from Shriya Som failed to work its charm on Aditi. Given her ability to pull off classy looks with utmost finesse, this one is a tad bit disappointing. Also, her hair and makeup failed to save this look as well!
ALAYA F
We have mixed feelings about Alaya’s look in this tulled Marchesa gown. It failed to elevate her striking features or worked in her favour. Also, the shimmery glam and a messy ponytail did not complement her attire at all.
ANANYA PANDAY
This Amit Aggarwal skater dress failed to give justice to Ananya’s statuesque beauty. Given her sound sartorial past, we feel that she could have done much better than this. Being blessed with a beautiful structure, this diva should go for the options that accentuate her beauty.
