Moonwalk: Deepika Padukone’s black streak to Taapsee Pannu's 'mix 'n' match', this week’s sartorial drama just keeps getting better!

Saturday is back again and what better way to start the weekend than our celebrity fashion segment- the Moonwalk! With award functions and film promotions ahead of us, the glamour quotient was undoubtedly high this week.

NYKAA FEMINA BEAUTY AWARDS

This week’s sartorial soiree started with Nykaa Femina Beauty Awards and it surely paved the way for some fashion inspiration. Dressed at their fabulous best, our tinsel town celebrities managed to put on a show. Here are some of the BEST and WORST looks straight from the gala!

DEEPIKA PADUKONE

Apart from her bewitching red carpet dress, Deepika Padukone cast her black magic for the week with not one but 2 outfits!

For her appearance on another award function, Deepika pulled out the big guns in a hooded-blazer look from Balmain. DP opted for a sleek hoodie jumpsuit that bore a cut out detailing giving us a peek-a-boo of her gorgeous curves. She then layered her hoodie outfit with a black blazer that gave a bossy twist to her glamorous look. Stacks of pearls and diamond bracelets added a perfect amount of bling to her classy black attire.

From chic and bossy to simply surreal! Deepika enticed us with her traditional look from label Rajesh Pratap Singh. Dazzling gold earrings from Viange and pointy black heels accentuated the look of her suave bandhgala. A subtle glam with kohl-rimmed winged eyes, nude lips, filled-in brows and a classy black bun added finishing touches to her look.

TAAPSEE PANNU

Sustainable fashion is the need of the hour and Taapsee knows this very fact. For the promotions of her upcoming film, she revamped her red Kanelle blouse in 2 ways. For look one, her red blouse was repurposed as a top and paired with flared denim. For the second look, she teamed up her knotty blouse with a subtle saree from the label’s collection. Modish and sustainable!

For another outing, this diva showed up as a glam doll in a feisty plunge Zara Umrigar gown and we couldn’t get our eyes off her. Structured shoulders, criss-cross detailing and oodles of shimmer; this couture was indeed high on the drama! Ditching her staple curls Taapsee rounded off her look with poker-straight hairdo and a luscious red lip!

AYUSHMANN KHURRANA

For promoting his upcoming film, Ayushmann opted for old school classics look in this monochrome oversized knit from Onitsuka Tiger India teamed up with a crisp Tommy Hilfiger shirt and Lewis Hamilton pants. Red Louboutin sneakers added a pop of colour to his B&W attire.

SHRADDHA KAPOOR

For one of her promotional appearances, Shraddha opted for a futuristic mermaid looked in this Pankaj & Nidhi couture which was fresh off the runway from the label’s SS20 collection. The holographic scalloped details, sheer billowy sleeves…do we need to spell out drama for you? To let her dress grab all the limelight, Shraddha rounded off her look with a nude glam and poker-straight hairdo.

VICKY KAUSHAL

Vicky gave fashion a spooky twist this week with his customized hand-painted jacket from Sandeep Kumar. Digging the details on his grungy jacket!

TARA SUTARIA

Tara lit up our weekend with shine and shimmer in this scintillating asymmetrical dress from Falguni Peacock Shane. Sutaria went subtle on glam with nude brown lips and soft curls to let her sequin dress take the centre stage.

KATRINA KAIF

For ‘Galentines’ day, Katrina ditched reds and pinks and opted for a white off shouldered Jonathan Simkhai number that featured delicate ruffles and tulles. She rounded off her look with her signature subtle glam and open tresses. A decent look overall but we wish to see this diva breaking her mould!

KIARA ADVANI

For the trailer launch of her upcoming film, Kiara opted for a black cut out Kalmanovich dress that bore sheer billowy sleeves. She rounded off her look with subtle glam and open tresses.

HINA KHAN

For an event in the city, Hina opted for a white sheer-sleeved blouse with a holographic skirt from label MirrorTheStore. Accessories from Soni Sapphire added an element of dazzle to her attire. She rounded off her look with pink lips, shimmery eyes and a bow-tied ponytail. Well, no love no hate for the look, but we have seen Hina rock a blouse and a skirt before and this look brings nothing new to the table.

SARA ALI KHAN

Given her statuesque beauty, Sara could do much better than these done and dusted co-ord look from Appapop! It fails to complement her beautiful features and does no justice to her beauty.

SUNNY LEONE

We are not a fan of Sunny’s Karleo look from an award gala. Sheer sleeves, overwhelming prints, neon fringes and cut out details, there was too much going on with this outfit to be about anything in particular. Also, the bland basic makeup and staple curls failed to give justice to her beauty.

MALAIKA ARORA

Not a fan of Malaika’s boho look in this tribal printed drape with a high neck blouse from Sangeeta Kilachand. Given her exceptionally modish sartorial picks, this one is definitely a downer!
