The world went to a state of mourning today, on Thursday morning as veteran actor Rishi Kapoor left us for heavenly abode. The actor, who was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, breathed his last at the age of 67 at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital.
Along with the Indian cinema, the fashion fraternity is experiencing a black day indeed. Right from his Bobby days, Kapoor has a fashion inspiration to many lads out there. Printed shirts, suave coats, and a charming smile, that’s all it took for the veteran actor to make the girls go weak in the knees.
However, Rishi’s love affair with winter fashion has its own tale to tell. Be it any role, any weather or any film, his undying love for sweaters and knits was quite evident. No matter if the heroine is dancing in a chiffon saree teamed with a sleeveless blouse, one would always find Rishi romancing her in the picturesque valleys donning vibrant and colorful sweaters that added to his boyish charm.
Starring in many super hit films like Chandni, Deewana, Darrar, Kabhie Kabhie, Damini, Heena amongst may others, Rishi brought in the trend of high neck knits, mufflers and draping the sweaters over the shoulders for some major ‘hero’ effect.
Take a look at his stellar looks right here:
SHOW STEALERS
In spite of divas like late Sridevi, Dimple Kapadia, or wife Neetu Kapoor filling the silver screen with glamour, Rishi and his stylish sweaters managed to grab attention, every single time.
VIBRANT AND VIVACIOUS
Vibrant, printed and so fresh; his knits and sweater complimented his charming personality indeed.
With his sad demise, this path-breaking actor and ‘90s style icon has left a void in the film and fashion fraternity that nobody can fulfill. With a heavy heart, we hate to say that, winter fashion will never be the same again!
