In an alternate reality, we could have been witnessing the fashion extravaganza in the form of 73rd Festival De Cannes scheduled from May 12 to May 23, 2020. But, looks like this global pandemic had some other plans! While we can’t wait for this to get over and look forward to the sartorial dose that awaits us, here’s a little look back at last year’s Cannes journey to satiate our inner fashionista.
Next in line is the diva who brought some drama at the French Riviera with her extravagant style statement- Deepika Padukone. Packing jazzy couture, larger-than-life gowns, and ultra-chic ensembles, Deepika grabbed some serious attention with her lewks! With statement bows and tulle drama, she put that ‘extra’ in extravagant indeed.

DP opted for dramatic looks for both her red carpet appearances.
For her first red carpet look, DP wowed us in monochromes and bows. Statement sleeves, feisty plunge and a thigh-high slit...this Dundas ensemble had it all.
Turning us green with envy quite literally, Deepika’s Giambattista Valli gown was high on ruffles and drama. Extravagant tulles to floral headgears, this stunner left no stone unturned to grab attention at the gala!
Although we loved the drama, we feel it should have been blended with a tad bit delicate as each of her ensemble was quite edgy. What are your thoughts?
