On the occasion of this style maven’s birthday, PeepingMoon.com exclusively got in touch with Megan, who shared the secrets of working with the style encyclopedia herself!

Q. What’s your level of high… to be styling style icon Sonam Kapoor Ahuja?

Super- duper high!

Q. Sonam is immensely creative, did you ever have choice clashes?

Not really, Rhea Kapoor (Megan works in her team) and Sonam are always on the same page.

Q. Are there any brands that are a no-no with Sonam?

With Sonam, you tend to focus on brands making different, unique pieces. She’s very open to discovering new designers!

Q. Can you recall any fun or memorable BTS incident while styling Sonam?

When I joined in 2015, I got papped with Sonam while carrying the trail of her dress. It was really funny because I’m 5’0” and with heels, she’s over a foot taller. I looked like a tiny minion next to her and the picture was in a newspaper the next day.

Q. Who are her favorite designers, both Indian and western? What does she prefer more?

I’m not sure if she has a preference as she seems to blend both worlds together really seamlessly. But I know Sonam loves Ralph and Russo, Elie Saab, Abu Jani Sandro Khosla, Anamika Khana among others.

Q. Three words to describe Sonam Kapoor’s style?

Dramatic, traditional, eclectic.

Q. What’s one staple that one might always find in Sonam’s wardrobe?

An amazing pair of trousers
