Even though the soiree of Emmy Awards 2020 did not witness a glamour quotient or a star-studded red carpet this year, but that didn’t stop the nominees and presenters from dressing up and serving a look or two. Gala or not, the show must go on, isn’t it?
Amid the ongoing situation, the prestigious award ceremony took place, but virtually. The ceremony that honours the best television shows was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel from an empty Los Angeles theatre. Putting their best fashion foot forward, the celebrities decked up at home for the soiree and it was a delightful break from their comfy PJs and lazy dressing. ZENDAYA

Sporting two different looks, youngest Emmy winner Zendaya looked nothing less than an award herself. For one of her appearances, she opted for a custom Armani Prive gown featuring a pearl and crystal-encrusted bandeau top and a black matte weave skirt. That feisty plunge added to the drama of her look. Wearing her curls up in a dramatic bun, she rounded off her look.

BILLY PORTER
Known for opulent dressing, Billy didn’t let us down even at the virtual soiree this year. The style icon opted for a pristine white pantsuit that featured flared bottoms and a shoulder drape that transformed into a train. Blings from Lorraine Schwartz added sparkle to his attire while those sexy heels from Rick Owens gave his look an edge.
REESE WITHERSPOON
Replacing the red carpet with her backyard, Reese struck a pose in a Louis Vuitton LBD that bore a bow sleeve detailing. A striking red pout and textured waves rounded off her look.
REGINA KING
Regina bloomed like a pretty flower in this sapphire blue silk faille gown from Schiaparelli encrusted with bijoux embroidery. Keeping her look fuss-free, she tired her wild curls in a messy bun and rounded off her look with some subtle glam.
For another look, she opted for a pink wool suit with embellished ‘bijoux’ buttons and a shirt honoring Breonna Taylor, all from Schiaparelli.
KERRY WASHINGTON
Kerry served us two looks for the virtual do and we were reeling in the feels. For the first look, she flaunted a strapless floral number from Oscar de la Renta that bore an asymmetrical hemline. Sleek Jimmy Choo heels and statement danglers completed her look.
Washington later dazzled in a figure skimming, leaoprd print cocktail dress from Dolce & Gabbana that was high on embellishments and elegant detailing.
CATHARINE O’HARA
Emmy winner Catherine dazzled at the soiree in a black Valentino number that featured sequined sleeves. Red lips and curled tresses added finishing touches to her look.
JENNIFER ANISTON
Jen slayed a satin black slip dress that bore a plunging neckline and ruffles on the hem. A statement-making neckpiece accessorized her attire while those messy waves and some subtle glam gave justice to her beauty.
