Of all the weddings that happened in this pandemic-stricken year, fans and fashionistas had set their eyes on TV sensation Gauahar Khan and beau Zaid Darbar’s winter wedding. Though the COVID-19 pandemic played a spoilsport for most of 2020, it couldn’t dampen the vibe of their dreamy wedding. Taking us all by surprise, Gauahar said ‘Qubool Hai’ in an intimate yet lavish ceremony on December 25, 2020.
From their trendy #GaZa hashtag to dreamy décor and top-notch arrangements, everything about this wedding screamed perfection. Although, what took the cake of us were the bride’s sartorial choices and mesmerizing wedding trousseau. PRE-WEDDING FESTIVITIES
For the numerous pre-wedding festivities, Gauhar stunned in dreamy ensembles twinning with her darling husband. For her Mehendi, the stunner donned a bright yellow salwar suit that was gifted to her four years back. A tasseled dupatta along with a pair with statement danglers elevated her ethnic look.
For another function, the actress and beau Zaid stunned in matching outfits from label Rajdeep Ranawat. Gauahar donned a mirror-embellished cowl neck choli and paired it with a bandhani print skirt that matched with Zaid’s koti. Delicate floral accessories from Puneet Gupta accessorized her pretty ethnic wear. Her intricately braided hairdo was really a cherry on the cake!
For the sangeet, our beloved ‘GaZA twinned in ethnic outfits from label Mayyur Girotra. Gauahar looked beautiful in a traditional embroidered sharara teamed with a dupatta on her head. Encrusted neckpieces, dainty kadas and statement matha patti from Madhuban Jewelers added a dash of sparkle to her ethnic attire. Opting for a subtle glam, she completed her look with tinted pink lips, blushed cheeks and a messy hairdo.
THE REGAL WEDDING LOOK
For her Nikaah, Gauahar made for a ‘gauahargeous’ bride in a customized sharara from label Laam. Her intricately detailed ivory number bore dainty embellishments and a heavily adorned dupatta with gota-patti work. Layers of polka and kundan necklaces, pearl-encrusted danglers and statement maang-tika added to the regality of her look. RECEPTION GLAMOUR
Skipping subtlety, Gauahar dazzled as an OTT Manish Malhotra bride for her reception and we couldn’t get our eyes off her. Her custom trousseau rode high on blings, shimmers and velvets making it a perfect regal look for the do. Jewels from the designer’s collection added dollops of regalia to her look and channeled old world charm. Molten gold, really!
POST-WEDDING FUNCTIONS
For her post-wedding Waleema festivities, Gauhar shone brightly in a Chaitali Barbhaya number. Her ethnic number was further accentuated by layers of necklaces, pair of dazzling earrings and delicate kadas. In the makeup department, she went all out with a striking red pout and blushed cheeks. Her elegantly braided hairdo featuring tousled curls added to the beauty of her look.
