Hands down, 2020 surely was a fashion-famine year for the fraternity and there were some trends that added to our misery. While most of the year was all about face masks and pyjamas, there were some luxury and high-end brands to probably didn’t get the memo and bugged us with their absolutely skippable creativity. We witnessed some weird fashion trends that made us look twice… and not in the best way. While some made us cringe, some simply made us laugh at the horror!
With 2020 (finally) gone, we hope to bid goodbye to some of the weirdest fashion trends that we witnessed.
ALLADIN PANTS

Yep, we are talking about latex balloon pants that took over the internet at the beginning of the year. For his graduation collection, Indian student Harikrishnan from London College of Fashion took the latex love a notch higher and presented inflatable pants teamed up with cropped blazer jackets. Are they comfortable to wear? Probably. Are they comfortable to look at? Umm…
KFC CROCS
Yeah, chicken seems tempting in many ways but probably not like this we reckon. Fast-food giant KFC partnered with Crocs and presented a strange collab that would make people hate Crocs (and maybe chicken) even more. They launched a pair of Crocs which looked like Kentucky Fried Chicken. Just one question…WHY?
GUCCI…ARE YOU OKAY?
Seems like the fashion famine took luxury fashion house Gucci on an eccentric path. Else, how else one would explain three weird products in a year?

For those who missed getting their denim dirty in pandemic times, the Italian luxury brand launched its ‘Eco Washed Organic Denim Overall’ that would give them the ‘feel’ of being outdoors. Yeah, no thanks.

Just when we thought Gucci cannot outdo its stained denim, it presented us with another eccentric product that certainly didn’t make sense. Ripped leggings. What now?! Priced approximately at INR14k ($190) these leggings look like any regular worn-out stockings that you have donned over years. An item that will truly trigger a desi parent!

After leaving the internet confused with its 14k ripped stockings, the Italian luxury fashion house was back with another controversial product- inverted cat-eye sunglasses. Priced at INR 55,000, Gucci’s version of ‘Taarak Mehta ka Ooltaah Chashmaah’ left the internet in splits.
BAGUETTE BAGS

Speaking of another trend that we didn’t ‘knead’, Moschino launched its baguette bag that looks exactly like a loaf of bread. Thanks to the fashion brand, now people will roam with bread in their hands, because why not? *Subway vibes intensified*
TRICKS UP ZARA’S SLEEVES

After years of wearing sleeveless tops, Zara presented us with its out-of-the-box topless sleeves and we are not sure how to feel about it. Where’s fashion heading to?
THREE-TOED SHOES
(Source-Twitter)
Is it just us or does Givenchy’s unusual three-toed heels are quite uncomfortable to look at? Netizens had a good laugh at this ‘??? Creation’ by comparing it with Scooby Doo’s paws.
Wackiest trends that even Ranveer Singh might disapprove of!
