“Your death is something that happens to everyone else.” This quote from the series Sherlock couldn’t be more apt as we feel difficult to come to terms with actor Sidharth Shukla’s untimely demise. The last two years have been a brutal shock to the film and television industry as we lost some of the greatest gems of Indian Cinema. Loved by millions, Sidharth was just 40 years old when he bid adieu to the world and left for a heavenly abode yesterday on September 2nd, 2021, leaving his family, friends and fans behind ‘Broken’ with some ‘Beautiful’ memories…
Not just a trophy, the Bigg Boss 13 winner clearly won the hearts of millions of fans who are now in a state of mourning. After proving his acting caliber with television series like Jaane Pehchaane se…Ye Ajnabbi, he rose to fame with Balika Vadhu and Dil se Dil Tak, opposite BB contestant Rashami Desai. Post dominating the small screen, Sid moved towards the silver screen and aced the role of Alia Bhatt’s NRI fiancé in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya. Although, it was BB13 that shot up his humongous fan base. He later was adored as 'Agastya Rao' in Ekta Kapoor’s web series Broken but Beautiful Season 3. The chemistry he had with his fellow BB13 contestant Shehnaaz Gill was visible in their music albums Bhula Dunga and Shona Shona.
Apart from being an impeccable actor, Sid has made a significant contribution to the fashion fraternity as well. Back in 2005, he won the title of World’s Best Model competing with 40 participants across Asia, Latin America and Europe making him the first Indian to win this pageant. Just like his personality, Sid’s style sensibilities highlighted cool, calm and composure. A gentleman at heart, he made sure his style reflected his persona as well. From casual to sharp dressing and ethnics, Sid rocked every silhouette he donned like his second skin. Muse to Manish Malhotra, Sid was quite a known face in the fashion fraternity who modeled a few brands and set some runways to fire. With those charming looks and magnetic persona, no one needs to wonder why!
Sid’s style had been always laidback but impressive for as long as we remember. However, if we look back on his fashion evolution, he had been ever-evolving with his style sensibilities. So, as a tribute to this fine gem of film and fashion fraternity here’s taking a look at the actor’s classic sartorial moments that made him look stylish as ever.
