The wait is finally over! Putting all the speculations to rest, newlyweds Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif confessed their love for each other by sharing their dreamy wedding pictures and mind us, they are precious enough to moist our eyes and melt our hearts. The duo bonded in the sacred union in a proper Punjabi wedding, yesterday, on December 9 at Six Senses Resort Barwara, in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. Skipping the crème-de-la-crème of Bollywood, the wedding took place in the presence of the actors’ close friends and family members.

From opting glass gazebo for pheras to decking up the entire fort with exotic flowers and illuminating lights, VicKat, as fans fondly call them, made sure to pay attention to every little detail right from the beginning to the end of the ceremony. While we are yet to witness the magic from the venue, we simply cannot take our eyes from their exquisite wedding trousseau.

Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, Katrina made for a proper Punjabi bride in a classic Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. Adding a personal touch to her shaadi ka joda and paying homage to Vicky’s cultural roots, Kat customized her veil with handmade kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold.

Vicky flaunted an ivory silk sherwani decorated with an intricate marori embroidery and further elevated with handcrafted gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons. He teamed his look with a silk kurta and churidar. The actor layered his outfit with a ussar georgette shawl delicately embroidered with zari marori and gold Benarasi silk tissue safa. Keeping the element of regality intact, the groom opted for a ‘handcrafted kilangi and statement necklace studded in emeralds, brilliant cut and rose-cut diamonds, quartz and tourmalines in 18k gold from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.’

While the outfit surely was all things classic, it was her regal jewels that elevated things further. Katrina adorned a dual matha-patti along with a stunning choker necklace and a statement nath, all made from uncut diamonds in 22k gold from Sabyasachi’s Heritage Jewellery collection.

Kaleeras are considered to be important in a Punjabi wedding and to make her wedding trousseau more meaningful, the actress opted for custom kaliras from Mrinalini Chandra and Rahul Luthra. Katrina wore a multiple layer of kaliras with gold as its main element. The look was elevated with handmade tassels and gold beads with multiple chattar handcrafted in gold & red enamelled details, all by Rahul. Mrinalini’s kaliras bore handmade doves each with a special message from the bride herself.

Speaking of their engagement rings, the duo opted for a dash of sparkle from Tiffany & Co. The bride’s engagement ring is a Soleste ring in platinum with cushion-cut tanzanite and a double row of round brilliant diamonds. Groom Vicky adorns a classic platinum wedding band. Gosh, we are blinded by the light!

With so many elements playing their part perfectly, our stunning bride decided to dial down on the glam front. She opted for a neutral glam with nude lips and kohl-rimmed eyes, giving justice to her beauty, all thanks to MUA Daniel Bauer. Kat rounded off her wedding look with a classic gajra adorned bun, curated by hairstylist Amit Thakur.

We are falling in love all over! Can’t wait for more looks from this fairytale wedding…
