For Haldi, the bride stunned in an ivory organdy lehenga from the shelves of Sabyasachi that was furthermore accentuated with gota and tilla embroidery. Adding to the elegance were her floral accessories such as beautiful jhumkas, a long necklace, and a floral kaleeres, all by Floral Art & Design Studio. In the glamour department, the actress kept her look au naturale and opted for a dewy base, shimmery lids and a hint of bronze on her cheeks. She styled her lustrous long mane in soft romantic curls to complete her haldi look.

Groom Vicky, opted for an embroidered khadi kurta and salwar, all from Sabyasachi.

MEHENDI MADNESS

For Mehendi ceremony, our royal bride looked resplendent drenched in rustic colours and scintillating details opting another Sabya look. Katrina unleashed her inner-Punjabi bride decked in a multi-coloured matka silk lehenga from the designer’s Kashgaar Bazaar collection. The highlighting element of this look was definitely its patch work, V-neck choli that bore an open-back detailing, cinched together with a series of strings. An embroidered tulle dupatta rounded off her outfit.

Speaking of the exquisite accessories, Kat paired her rustic look with an ‘eclectic Navratan inspired jewellery that pays homage to the celestial gems in emeralds, uncut diamonds, multi-coloured sapphires, pearls, spinels, tourmalines and rubies in 18k gold from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.’ The dewy glam with glossy pout and sotf curls, curated by MUA Daniel Bauer and hairstylist Amit Thakur, added to the ‘saadgi’ of her overall look.

Vicky complimented his dulhania by flaunting an embroidered raw silk bandhgala jacket decorated with coromandel chintz prints, layered over a mint silk kurta with embroidered butis and a Bangalore silk ivory salwar.

THE FLORAL WEDDING

For her pre-wedding festivities, Katrina made our hearts skip a beat with her floral, vintage-inspired tulle saree conceptualized by mastermind and ace couturier Sabyasachi. Paying homage to her mother’s British Heritage, the bride, along with her stylist friend Anaita Shroff Adajania sketched out an entire look picking up the elements the reflected the beauty of a white wedding which later Sabya brought into life. Including the Christian nuptial elements like veil, trail and a bouquet of handpicked flowers, Kat honoured her mother’s cultural roots by giving it a desi spin. Silhouetted like a white wedding gown, the pastel tulle sari teamed with a long-sleeved blouse was hand-embroidered with hand-cut English flowers and sprinkled with semi-precious gems and crystals. The pallu acted like a long trail and a sheer dupatta personified the stunning veil. As stated by the designer himself this visual and sartorial masterpiece, was a labor of love of 40 artisans who took over 1800 hours to curate this look.

Accentuating her sari silhouette was a statement uncut diamond choker detailed with opals and pale Russian emeralds, teamed with a pair of matching earrings from the designer’s Heritage Jewellery collection. With so many elements playing their part perfectly, the bride decided to dial down on the glam front. However, she looked every bit breathtaking in a subtle glam with blushed cheeks, nude lips and a hint of glitter on the lids. She styled her hair in soft curls that gave justice to her beauty.

The Dulhe Raja, Vicky gazed lovingly at his bride wearing a Bangalore silk embroidered sherwani, accentuated with Sabyasachi gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons. He completed his look with a matching churidar.

Nothing less than extraordinary for this duo, really. Each look reflects on cultural roots and ravishing details that are bookmark-worthy for the upcoming wedding season. Take a bow, Sabya!
