Alia Bhatt to Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, Dharma’s stylish ‘Students of the Year’ who kept the fashion torch LIT at Karan Johar’s party!

Filmmaker Karan Johar hosted a lavish birthday party for his Dharma Productions CEO and close friend Apoorva Mehta who turned 50 recently. Ace set designer Amrita Mahal, who is known for set designing of several Dharma films including Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Brahmastra, designed the theme of the starry birthday bash and we must say, she did her job pretty well.

Needless to say, this bash witnessed the crème-de-la-crème f Bollywood dressed in their stylish best. From sheer gowns to dapper suits and fusion drapes, this soiree witnessed it all and so much more. Check out the sartorial highlights from this star-studded gala:

JANHVI KAPOOR

Shining bright like a diamond was Janhvi Kapoor with her mirror-embellished Manish Malhotra gown that gave a peek of her feisty neckline and accentuated those envy-worthy curves. Skipping statement accessories, the diva opted for a dewy base with a shiny nude pout, smokey eyes and soft curls to complete her dazzling look.

ANANYA PANDAY

Ananya made our jaws drop with her mesh Aadnevik number that bore a daring center slit and came with a sexy corset detailing. Going easy on the accessory front, the actress opted for a pair of elegant diamond studs to complement her outfit. A subtle glam with tresses styled in beach waves did justice to her beauty.

KARAN JOHAR

Host Karan made for both, the king of hearts and spades in a custom Kaushik Velendra tuxedo. His red and black tux was elevated further with a fancy satin bow tie, studded Louboutin shoes and spunky Loewe glasses.

ALIA BHATT

La Vie En Rose! Alia channeled her floral power in a Magda Butrym number that featured a strapless midi with a daring neckline. She layered her outfit with a matching blazer that gave her sexy midi a bossy spin. Keeping her glam neutral, the stunner completed her look with a tinted glossy pout and beach wave curls.

KATRINA KAIF

Katrina opted for her fail-safe monotone look in an Alex Perry dress that featured padded shoulders and a sweetheart neckline. A pair of shiny pumps added sparkle to her subtle powder blue number. Her signature glam ft. soft pink lips and poker-straight tresses completed her party look.

TARA SUTARIA

Tara made a dazzling appearance sparkling in a crystal-embellished Yousef Al Jasmi gown that hugged her curves just at the right places. A pair of diamond danglers added to the bling affair of her outfit. Completing her look was a shiny nude pout, shimmery pink lids and a chic ponytail.

SHANAYA KAPOOR

Ditching the quintessential glamour gowns, Shanaya emerged as a boss babe in a classic white blazer by Studio Amelia. A delicate neck chain accentuated her feisty neckline. Her look was put together with a dewy glam ft. glossy lips, blushed cheeks and beach wave locks.

VICKY KAUSHAL

Vicky raised the sartorial josh of the gala with his velvet blazer look from Rohit Bal. Those classy aviators added a sexy touch to his suited-up look.

VARUN DHAWAN

Varun looked every bit dapper in a classic black 3-piece tux from Dolce & Gabbana. A fancy bow tie and pocket square from Hugo Boss completed his look.

ARJUN KAPOOR

Arjun showed up at the gala dressed in a Paul Smith Design suit teamed with a white shirt, black knit and pocket square from Brooks Brothers. A pair of rectangular shades added a geeky element to his attire.

NATASHA POONAWALLA

Natasha personified molten gold in a reflective Loewe number. She styled her outfit with a subtle glam ft dramatic winged eyes and a chic high ponytail. Sometimes less is more, right?

MRUNAL THAKUR

Mrunal dazzled in a metallic Shivani Awasty gown that featured an off-the-shoulder detailing and stunning pleated details. Ditching the statement jewels the stunner rounded off her look with smokey eyes, an earthy brown pout and a poker-straight hairdo.

RAKUL PREET

Rakul looked gorgeous in a shimmery party gown from Frisky that came with a feisty keyhole detailing. A pair of diamond earrings added a dash of sparkle to her glittery look.

MADHURI DIXIT NENE

Madhuri made our hearts skip a beat in a fusion Gaurav Gupta saree gown that bore delicate embellishments and mesh deets. She kept her look subtle with a matte glam, a fuchsia pink pout and soft curls.

SIDHARTH MALHOTRA

Sid opted for a clean dressing in a crisp white shirt, satin tie and a classy leather jacket look from Hugo Boss. A Gentleman, indeed!

DAPPER BOYS LAKSHYA AND GURFATEH PIRZADA

Dharma’s debut actors Lakshya and Gurfateh looked oh-so-handsome with their suited-up avatars. Lakshya opted for a bespoke classic tux with a fancy bow-tie and shiny shoes.

Gurfateh looked dapper in a textured Sawan Gandhi embellished suit for the eve.

A star-studded gala indeed!
