Showcasing his collection in London Fashion Week 2005, Manish was the first Indian to head an international house and inspired a generation of designers before putting a shutter on his business. He influenced pop culture in a certain way and recently Ashley Park aka Mindy from the famous show Emily In Paris wore a bomber jacket from his collection in the 3rd season of the show.

Not only this, but American singer Katy Perry also wore designer clothes from his collection at the peak of her career.

Arora's "Fish Fry" collection in 2001 was bright, the sportswear-inspired designs created in collaboration with the producer of athletic apparel, Reebok. Manish Arora Fish Fry, his first flagship store, debuted in New Delhi in 2002. The following year, he built a second one in Mumbai. An agreement for stocking with the Parisian fashion label Maria Luisa and the start of a lucrative export business resulted from another successful display at India Fashion Week in 2003.

After winning the Best Women's Prêt Designer prize at the first Bombay Indian Fashion Awards in 2004, MC2 Diffusion Paris began marketing the label for overseas sales. Manish took part in Miami Fashion Week the next year in May 2005, and there he won the designer's choice for Best Collection Award.

Regarded as "the John Galliano of India", he is known for a rich palette of psychedelic colours and kitsch motifs in garments that combine traditional Indian crafts like embroidery, appliqué, and beading with Western silhouettes.

From Indian celebrities adoring his designs, Ranveer Singh and Sonam Kapoor with eccentric fashion taste wore his clothes several times. Apart from them, many others like Natasha Poonawalla, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Kangana Ranaut were seen wearing his quirky designs.

All the top Indian and international brands wanted to collaborate with Manish Arora at some point. His visual language lent itself very seemingly to brands that wanted fun and cool.

Manish Arora is an icon with an unmatched legacy. Many come many go but OGs are forever.
