Its been a few days since love birds Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony that lasted over a week, although we just cannot get enough of it. With grand festivities, the couple outshined looking the oh-so-gorgeous in each and every ensemble created by their designer friend Manish Malhotra however, it was their wedding look that stole the show.
We recently learned what went into creating the masterpiece that was Sidharth-Kiara's wedding trousseau and the details will blow your mind away!
The duo opted for sixteen couture designs for all their wedding festivities for occasions that required complete looks, with each look's every detail being styled by Manish. The looks of the couple's immediate family members on both sides were also designed and styled by Manish.
To design an ethereal version of Manish Malhotra's design for Kiara and Sidharth's wedding attire, more than 200 artisans came together.
“Weddings always hold a special place for me. It is the onset to new beginnings and of two people, however knowing the couple Kiara and Sid personally and together, made this wedding extra special” said the designer.
Three dyes were designed especially for the shade of Kiara's ombre lehenga by a man renowned for mastering his famous colour gradations in shades of Empress Rose. The designer made a conscious decision to add a personal touch by adding elements of the Roman domes, after learning that Rome holds a special place in the hearts of both of them throughout their journey together. The creation took 3700 (three thousand seven hundred) hours. To capture MM's distinctive glitter, 30,000 Lush Swarovski crystals were adorned.
The actress paired her gorgeous ensemble with Manish Malhotra’s high diamond jewellery launching in March from the collection in a set of natural diamonds and Zambian Emeralds.
Manish customized a piece that exuded classic regalia for Sidharth. The metallic gold sherwani was made with ivory threadwork and badla work that was created with the finest delicacy over the course of more than 3000 hours. The outfit also underwent an intricate two-layer Zardozi and Swarovski crystal embroidery process to further embellish the sherwani, which was paired with the traditional dhoti to give the ensemble a regal touch. The maharaja's natural diamond kalgi on his gold safa and an uncut diamond necklace completed the fusion's features.
Well, we all are amazed to see how aesthetically pleasing Manish Malhotra’s bride and groom are! The amount of effort and time he put in to create such beautiful ensembles for Sid and Kiara’s wedding, really showed off his designer skills.
Take a bow, Manish Malhotra!
