Hana (the Japanese word for flower) was what Saaksha and Kinni called their collection, presented by beer brand Corona, at Lakm Fashion Week x FDCI at Jio World Convention Centre.
The sunset scene was created with models happily showing off their resort and swimwear. Crafted from luxurious chiffons and silks and complemented by nets, poplins and denim, the collection seamlessly merged timeless motifs with contemporary silhouettes. Handcrafted with meticulous details like ruching and hand-embroidered mirrors, coins and thread-work, the collection embodied a harmonious blend of tradition and modern flair.
It was time for some vibrant prints that evoked the happy hues of a sunset, as also luxurious fabrics that emulated the gentle caress of ocean breezes.
Mixing solids and prints for swimwear, the colour story was an ode to nature. There was a fluid stream of ocean blue, sunset yellow, grassy green and earthy rust on the colour card. The prints matched the fun element of the sun wear, as inspirations of ikats, geometric lines and block prints – all timeless motifs - were given a contemporary twist.
Looking at the collection you immediately wanted to head to the beach!
