Anamika Khanna of AK-OK fame was the chosen one to close day three of Lakm Fashion Week x FDCI at Jio World Convention Centre. In collaboration with Ajio Luxe, this was a showcase of the designer’s spring/summer line that beautifully blended tribal motifs with contemporary urban wear.

Live music by DJ Shri and percussionist Jonqui set the mood for the stylish show that drew inspiration from the adventures of a nomadic biker hailing from Orissa’s Bonda tribe. On view were a diverse range of garments, from jackets to slouchy pants, drapes and kaftans, each reimagining staple pieces into bold style statements. Denim formed the foundation of the collection that included prints and vibrant hues of red and pink. Thick threadwork embroidery, reminiscent of biker studs, reinvented the concept of urban wear.

Young star and fashion icon Shanaya Kapoor was the showstopper in a creation that blended Indian heritage with global influences. Her ensemble featured a wondrous white shirt dress adorned with intricate golden embellishments, paired with a striking bra top with delicate embroidered motifs. An array of glorious gold jewelry adorned her waist and neck and her feet were fashionably inside chic high boots.
