Acclaimed choreographer Saroj Khan breathed her last today in Mumbai. Her demise has left a deep void in the hearts of her fans and Bollywood celebs. Known for giving some of the most iconic dance steps that eventually became signature steps of actresses like Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi and others, Saroj ji was a force to be reckoned within the industry.
However, what not many people know is that she was also instrumental in giving Shah Rukh Khan his iconic arms outstretched pose in Baazigar!
Did we know it was #SarojKhan who gave #ShahRukhKhan his signature stretched arms move? It was in Baazigar title track, and THIS was the exact moment, which redefined SRK's onscreen persona. Shah Rukh also shared a heartfelt tribute for 'master ji' Saroj Khan and wrote that she was his first genuine teacher.
My first genuine teacher in the film industry. She taught me for hours how to do the ‘dip’ for film dancing. One of the most caring, loving & inspiring persona i have ever met. Will miss you Sarojji. May Allah bless her soul. Thank u for looking after me.

The actor’s pose has become so iconic that he is actually identified with that and his dip is often used as a gesture during a game of dumb charades when the SRK has to be denoted.
