Legendary playback singer Bhupinder Singh breathed his last at a hospital in Mumbai on Monday at the age of 82. According to his wife, Mitali Singh, he had tested positive for COVID-19 and was suspected to have colon cancer. He succumbed to a massive cardiac arrest on Monday evening.
Known for his Bollywood songs and ghazals, the singer had a major part to play in the Hindi music industry. In his five-decade-long career, Bhupinder worked with renowned names like Mohammed Rafi, RD Burman, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle and Bappi Lahiri, among others.
