Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has done it once again! Its recent release, titled Govinda Naam Mera, is spreading the right magic, thanks to its fun, engaging content and positive word of mouth. Within days of its release, the Shashank Khaitan directorial has featured in the list of most-viewed movies and shows in India (on OTT) for the week of December 12 to 18.

The film, revolving around the life of Govinda (Vicky Kaushal), his wife Gauri (Bhumi Pednekar) and his girlfriend Suku (Kiara Advani), got 9.2 million views in just a couple of days. Despite the much-anticipated and thrilling FIFA 2022 World Cup Final between Argentina and France on Sunday, the film held its ground and remained unshakeable.

Creating a new record, Govinda Naam Mera got crowned as the No.1 content viewed this week, beating most of the popular films and shows currently streaming on various OTT platforms in India. Without a doubt, it has been a fruitful venture for Disney+Hotstar and Dharma Productions. 

Dharma Productions started the year with Gehraiyaan and is ending it with yet another successful film, Govinda Naam Mera. While 2022 is inching to an end, the film will continue growing exponentially even in the coming year. 

Govinda Naam Mera is produced by Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Karan Johar and Shashank under Dharma Productions banner and is presented by Mentor Disciple Films. It released on Disney+Hotstar on December 16.
