Known as the "Dhak Dhak" girl of Bollywood, this Padma Shri recipient is said to be the only Indian actress in her nearly three-decade career to have received the most Filmfare Award nominations. She became well-known for the outstanding dancing she performed in the Tezaab movie's song "Ek do teen." Madhuri Birth Date and Education:
Shankar and Snehalata Dixit welcomed Madhuri into the world on May 15, 1967. She went to Divine Child High School and later studied microbiology at Mumbai University. From a young age, Madhuri received instruction in the traditional Indian dance style known as Kathak. She has an older brother named Ajit and two older sisters named Rupa and Bharati.
Madhuri Acting Debut:
Dixit made her cinema debut in 1984 with Rajshri Productions' drama Abodh, opposite Bengali actor, Tapas Paul, which was commercially failed. The actress went on to do a few more films until she hit gold with Tezaab (1988).
Madhuri had two hits in 1989: Tridev (1989), in which she featured alongside Sunny Deol, Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff, and Sangeeta Bijlani. The year's other big hit was Ram Lakhan by Subhash Ghai. the Bollywood blockbuster, Sooraj Barjatya`s magnum opus family drama: Hum Aapke Hai Koun_! The film grossed INR 1.35 billion worldwide. She won a Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the Yash Raj directed Dil To Pagal Hai (1997).
Madhuri's career saw a downturn between 1997 and 2002 due to the box office failure of her films Mohabbat (1997), Wajood (1998), and Aarzoo (1999). Devdas (2002), directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, marked the conclusion of this difficult period.
Madhuri took a break from films for a while, then she returned to the silver screen with the dance-based film Aaja Nachle. She even made a cameo in the highly well-known song Ghagra from the 2013 box office smash Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Madhuri Personal Life:
Early in the 1990s, Madhuri was rumored to have dated married Sanjay Dutt. But once he was charged under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA), she cut relations with him. Later, on October 17, 1999, she wed Dr. Sriram Madhav Nene, a cardiovascular surgeon based in the United States, and they relocated to Denver, Colorado. With Dr. Nene, she is mother to two sons, Arin (born in 2003) and Rayaan (born in March 2005). In order to make a comeback in Hindi cinema, she traveled back to India in 2011.
Madhuri TV career:
In the inaugural episode of Rajshri Productions' television series Paying Guest, which aired in 1985, Madhuri made her television debut as Neena. Then, in 2001, she made an appearance in a special Kaun Banega Crorepati episode. Madhuri has also been a judge on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, a dance-reality show, for multiple seasons, alongside director Karan Johar and choreographer Remo D`souza. She was also the judge for So You Think You Can Dance (India) (2016) that aired on &TV.
