Salman Khan, also referred to as the "bad boy of Bollywood," is one of the most endearing, flamboyant, and financially successful performers in Hindi cinema. The superstar has a significant fan base that spans not only India but the entire globe, and the multiple honors and recognitions conferred upon him amply demonstrate his popularity. The daring performer has been in some of the biggest hits, like Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Tere Naam, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Dabangg, Wanted, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and many more, since making his feature debut as the lead in Maine Pyar Kiya.

Salman Birth Date and Family:

The actor, who was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, as Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, is the son of renowned scriptwriter Salim Khan and Sushila Charak. He was born on December 27th, 1965, and hails from a distinguished family with a long history in Bollywood. His step-mother Helen, his sister-in-law VJ Malaika Arora Khan, and his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri too have Bollywood connections.

Salman, like his younger brothers Arbaaz and Sohail, completed his education at St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra, Mumbai. He had previously spent a few years studying at The Scindia School in Gwalior with his younger brother Arbaaz. He enrolled in Mumbai's St. Xavier's College but left early.

Salman Acting Debut:

In 1988, the megastar debuted as an actor in a supporting role in Biwi Ho To Aisi. Salman Khan starred in Maine Pyar Kiya, a romantic family drama film, a year later. Salman Khan starred in Baaghi: A Rebel for Love, which was a huge box-office hit. He worked with filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya on the romantic film Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! Which co-starred Madhuri Dixit.

The following year, Salman Khan starred in Rakesh Roshan`s Karan Arjun alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya movie was not only a huge commercial success but also it marked Salman`s first on-screen bare body appearance. He appeared in a cameo in Karan Johar`s directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Together with Ajay Devgn and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan appeared in three more hits in 1999: Hum Saath Saath Hain, Biwi No. 1, and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

The actor showed his versatility when he essayed the role of Radhe, an obsessive lover in Tere Naam. His subsequent releases,Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), No Entry (2005) were successful at the box office. He next appeared in Bodyguard (2011). The star`s 2012 release, Ek Tha Tiger opposite his then alleged girlfriend, Katrina Kaif.

His second release in 2012, Dabangg 2, which was the sequel of Dabangg under the production of Arbaaz Khan and his 2014 movie, his second release of 2014, Kick. Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Khan's debut film, received favorable reviews from both the public and critics in 2015. In 2016, he was seen opposite Anushka Sharma in the romantic drama Sultan, which released on Eid and went on to become a commercial success.

Salman's 2017 credits include Tiger Zinda Hai, Tubelight, and No Entry Mein Entry. Dabangg 3 (2019), Bharat (2019), Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai (2021), and Antim: The Final Truth (2021) are some of his previous releases. Godfather (2022), Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan (2022), Pathaan (2023), and Tiger 3 (2023) are some of his other noteworthy works.

Salman Box-office Disaster:

In 2018, Khan played the leading role in his only release of the year, Race 3, an action film. The film was critically panned for its storyline, weak performances and climax. Dabangg 3 flopped commercially. He played the lead in Radhe, which debuted on May 13, 2021, to unfavorable reviews. Although critics gave mixed reviews to his following picture, Antim: The Final Truth, in which he portrayed the second lead, they were highly critical of Khan's performance. He starred in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan turned out to be another box office flop for the actor.

Salman TV Appearance:

Khan hosted 10 Ka Dum in 2008. In India, the show had the highest rating and was incredibly popular. In 2010 Khan hosted Bigg Boss 4. In addition, Khan served as the host of Bigg Boss 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 seasons.

Salman Personal Life:

Salman Khan is unmarried and one of the most desirable bachelors, despite the fact that the celebrity has been linked to several women and that his love life has been extensively discussed and written about. There have been several rumors that the actor is getting married to Lulia Vantur, a Romanian woman he is rumored to be dating.

Salman Controversies:

After Khan's automobile collided with a Mumbai bakery on September 28, 2002, he was taken into custody for reckless and careless driving. Three other people were hurt in the incident, and the victim who was sleeping on the street outside the bakery lost their lives.

Blackbuck hunting case involves the alleged killing of a deer when Khan and his co-stars – Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu – were filming the movie Hum Saath-Saath Hain in the forests near Jodhpur in 1998.

After their break-up in March 2002, Aishwarya Rai accused him of harassing her. In 2003, Vivek Oberoi, Rai's then boyfriend, claimed that Khan had threatened him.
