Know Your Stars: Nora Fatehi birth place, debut and TV appearance

Nora Fatehi, an Indo-Canadian dancer, model and actress. She has acted in Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi movies. Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans, a Hindi film, marked Fatehi's acting debut. Became well-known in Telugu cinema thanks to her cameos in Temper and Baahubali: The Beginning.

Nora Birth Place:

Fatehi is of Moroccan origin from her father's side and was born and raised in Canada. Her mother is also Moroccan. She received her diploma from Toronto's Westview Centennial Secondary School. She attended York University to study international relations and political science. In interviews, she has said that she identifies as "an Indian at heart."

Nora Acting Debut:

Fatehi began her career with her debut appearance in the Hindi film Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans. She played CJ, in her acting debut. She then ventured into Telugu films with item number, "Ittage Recchipodham", in Puri Jagannadh's film Temper. Fatehi further appeared in item numbers for films such as Baahubali: The Beginning's song "Manohari" and in Kick 2's song "Kukkurukuru".

She inked an exclusive artist contract with T-Series in February 2019 and will appear in their forthcoming movies, music videos, web series, and web films. She made appearances in the songs "O Saki O Saki" from Batla House and "Ek Toh Kum Zindagani" from Marjaavaan in the same year. In Bharat, Fatehi portrayed Suzan Vilayati Khan in opposition to Sunil Grover.

Fatehi played Mia, a dancer in the 2020 dance film Street Dancer 3D, opposite Varun Dhawan. On 6 March 2021, Fatehi became the first African-Arab female artiste whose song "Dilbar" crossed one billion views on YouTube. She played a spy Heena in Bhuj: The Pride of India, replacing Parineeti Chopra.

She made an appearance in the song "Achha Sila Diya" alongside Rajkummar Rao after her collaboration with him in the song "Kamariya" for the film Stree. In 2024, Fatehi took on more acting roles. She appeared as Alia, a social media influencer, in Crakk opposite Vidyut Jammwal.

Nora TV Appearance:

Fatehi joined the ninth season of Bigg Boss as a wild card entry in December 2015. Before being forced to leave the residence on Day 83 of the 12th week, she had lived there for three weeks. In 2016, she also took part in the reality television program Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9. She played the starring role opposite Sanjay Suri in the movie My Birthday Song. She also took on the role of a judge in dance shows like "Dance Deewane Juniors" (season 1) and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 alongside other judges.

She gave a performance in the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Fatehi became the only actress to perform the second time at the IIFA Awards in 2023.
