That wake up and smell the coffee moment is finally here. In a confirmation of what fans and loved ones – including ex-wife Jennifer Aniston – have always suspected, Brad Pitt has come out to admit that he made the biggest mistake of his life when he left her for Angelina Jolie.
Following his separation from Jolie, Pitt has been struggling to get his act together. He sobered up and also sought therapy. Now, according to sources, he is finally in touch with his emotions and his true self, like never before.
The actor has now come to realise that leaving Jen for Angelina was one of the biggest mistakes of his life. Even while not in love with Jen, he is aware of how much he loves her, and it is this clarity that he has apparently been sharing with friends.
Sources reveal that while he would never dream of ruining Jen’s two-year-old marriage to Wanderlust co-star Justin Theroux, he would actually jump at the possibility of having a second chance at love with Jen. We really do think he is laying it a bit too thick when he claims that if they cannot be romantic partners, he would still clutch at opportunities to have the ‘Friends’ star as his partner in other pursuits! Even if they worked well together when they formed their production company Plan B in 2001, it is a tad too optimistic of Pitt to presume that Jen would welcome the chance of being involved in professional matters, as her cheating ex-husband produces and develops high quality film and TV content!

In September this year, news had emerged of Brad apologising to Jen for everything he had put her through. Apparently, it was the most intimate conversation they had ever had, and Jen broke down as all her suppressed emotions of hurt and resentment ripped through. The Fight Club actor apparently apologised to Jen for being an absentee husband, and for being stoned and bored much of the time.
Currently separated from Angelina Jolie, we can’t help wonder how she is taking Pitt’s new disclosures…
