The Harry Potter universe created by JK Rowling might have released its last book eleven years ago and the movie came out seven years ago but the magic has not dampened even a little bit. Fans are still hooked on to the series and proudly call themselves Potterheads. So obviously when Hogwarts’ alumni Hermione Granger (played by Emma Watson), Draco Malfoy (played by Tom Felton) and Neville Longbottom (played by Matthew Lewis) had a mini-reunion the world went gaga over their favourite witch and wizards.
Emma Watson, Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis planned a little get-together sans Daniel Radcliffe (who played Harry Potter) and Rupert Grint (who essayed the role of Ron Weasley) and gave major pangs to the fans all around the world. Tom Felton shared a black-and-white photo of the trio and captioned it as, “School mates #hogwartsalumni.” The photograph is really endearing and is a testimony to the fact that even after so many years these actors are still friends and support each other even though they have all gone on to star in different movies and plays.

Reportedly, Emma had gone on record and said that she had a mild crush on Felton in the initial years of filming the movies. Interestingly, Matthew’s character Neville is always picked upon by Felton’s Malfoy in the series and Emma’s Hermione even went on to punch the latter in the third instalment of the book series. However, the actors clearly look as if they never had such problems in their friendship.

Matthew looks like a geek in the picture whereas Emma looks her radiant self but Felton definitely looks as if he has matured into a serious adult. The three actors have been a part of all the eight Harry Potter movies. Emma had recently shared a moment with Robert Pattinson (who played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) when she presented an award with him at the Golden Globes this year.

A few months ago another reunion of the Potter franchise took place when, James and Oliver Phelps who played the Weasley twins, Fred and George, teamed up with Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Natalie Tena (Tonks) and Stan Yanevski (Viktor Krum). An extension of the Potter universe was created in the form of Fantastic Beasts franchise and the next movie Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be releasing this year in November. Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law and Johnny Depp play the lead in this movie.
