The first trailer of Avengers 4, officially titled Avengers: Endgame has dropped and at least quelled the audience’s interest somewhat. The trailer recapitulates everything that’s happened in the last decade, the years in which Marvel built its Cinematic Universe. It is a journey from Tony Stark’s first appearance as Iron Man to the devastating and destructive battle against Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War which released in the early part of this year. The superheroes are still under stress and anxiety over lost comrades and friends who could not overcome the battle at the end of Infinity War.
The story and plot of Avengers: Endgame was kept completely under wraps but the trailer also does not reveal much from what can be expected from the Avengers’ last stand against Thanos. Marvel very cleverly has not included Captain Marvel in the trailer as she is touted to be the most powerful Avenger and the savior the Earth needs, as another film Captain Marvel is about to hit screens soon which will deal with her backstory and her war.
Avengers Endgame
Avengers 4 or Avengers: Endgame is the final film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the current generation. The film will be the last film for some of our well-known actors, including Chris Evans who has bid adieu to his character Captain America earlier this year on Twitter. Avengers 4 stars Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Chris Hemsworth who haven’t actually said anything about leaving the franchise.
Avengers: Endgame releases on 26th April 2019, it will be preceded by Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson and followed by Spider-Man: Far From Home.
