Pooja Bhatt, Shahana Goswami, Amruta Subhash, Plabita Borthakur and Aadhya Anand are all set to tell a riveting tale in Alankrita Shrivastava's upcoming series, Bombay Begums. The show will be releasing on Netflix on March 8, 2021, which is International Women's Day. Today, the makers dropped in the much-awaited trailer.
The trailer revolves around five women living in different worlds with different perspectives. Bombay Begums is about 5 'queens'. Pooja plays the role of Rani, Amruta is Lily, Aadhya Anand plays the role of Rani's daughter Shai. It appears they don't share a great relationship with each other. Shahana is Fatima, who is expecting a child with her husband. Plabita is Ayesha, who aspires to become a CEO like Rani. Bombay Begums focuses on how these 'queens' survive in a relentless world and break societal shackles.
