Dream Girl 2 starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday is about to release on August 25. Set against the backdrop of Mathura city, the film follows the story of Karan (Ayushmann) who falls in love with Pari (Ananya) but things go upside down for him due to which he has to become Pooja.
In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon.com, Ayushmann was asked about the feeling of being a woman beyond essaying a part in a film. To this, the actor shared it's impossible to comprehend the same in emotions. "You know that apathy only arises when you are a woman. Matlab representation tabhi hoti hai agar Voh khud… I don’t know. Abhi mein empathise utna nahi kar paunga joh ek aaurat bol payegi. Maine shoot kiya hai, mene woh zindagi nahi jiye hai .. So I can’t really say that . But having said that, I have realised it’s more comfortable for men to be in this world. Matlab kuch bhi karlo, raat ko 2-3 baje ghum lo, bina dare , matlab jis din hamare desh mein 3 baje raat ko chote shahar mein akeli ladki sarak pe chal rahi hai bina kisi darr ke … that will be our true independence," stated the actor, and further added, “But sadly women can’t do it in India."
Ananya also supported his answer and said that she feels that at some point every girl must have had felt insecure and has some story to share. The actress also mentioned that even after being an urban girl and being protected by security as she is a celebrity, she still felt uncomfortable many times.
Ananya said ,” I think every women that ..anyone is encountered in life will have some story to tell .. something. You can come from the most protected household and been living the biggest bubble possible. There is always some story, there is always some uncomfortable moment. Something that a girl has faced . So just because I am from Bombay , I still feel uncomfortable so many times even though I am an actress, I am protected by so many people it’s still not easy at all."
