Actress Amruta Khanvilkar is every Maharashtrian's favourite actress. The lady rose to fame with Ajay-Atul’s hit number ‘Vajale Ki Baara’ and turned all stones right to achieve the position she holds today. She went on to win Nach Baliye Season 7 with her husband Himanshoo Malhotra. And now, with her movie Raazi, crossing the 100 crore mark, she has created a special space in everyone’s heart with her performance.

Now, Amruta is all set to enter the digital world with the web series titled – Damaged where she will play a dark and mysterious character. In an interview with PeepingMoon.com, the pretty actress spoke about the web series, playing a bold character, upcoming project and many more. Here’s what she said:

Debut in digital space…

It’s my debut in the new space called – web space where I play a serial killer. In fact, there are lot of things which is happening for the first time through this series; like my first bold scene, my first intimacy, my first smoking scene and my first psychopath scene…it’s been amazing experience so far.

Boldness is very sensual…

See honestly, I feel that boldness is very sensual. There is a very thin line between sensuality and other things. Our web series is very sensual. In fact, Himanshoo was very supportive with this kind of concept. In fact, he was very charged with my character because he wanted me to give a try to a bold and sensuous role. He wants me to give my best in whatever I do. Initially, I was little hesitant to perform bold scene in front of the camera but Himanshoo supported me throughout this project. Believe me, he is not at all an insecure guy. I am blessed to have him by my side.

It was difficult to play a bold character but…

The character of Lavina is very bold and unapologetic about her choices in life unlike Amruta Khanvilkar. Till date, audience have watched me in bubbly and positive character, but Lavina is totally opposite. But I think that’s the challenge an actor faces, you have to shed something off and accept new challenges. There was lot of referencing I did like reading mysterious books and all. It was a very tough character to play but was an amazing experience too.

Film with Manoj Bajpaee…

This year, I have been very lucky to work with power packed actors; be it with Alia Bhatt, Meghna Gulzar and Vicky Kaushal. And adding more to it, I got a chance to work with Manoj Bajpaae who is a great actor. This will be my second Bollywood film after Raazi and I am really looking forward for audience reaction to it. I have already finished shooting; the release date is not yet declared.
