Mahhi Vij to make a comeback on TV after 2 years with ‘Laal Ishq’

Popular actress Mahhi Vij is all set to make her comeback on television after a gap of almost 2 years. The actress who was last seen in serial, Balika Vadhu has been roped to play a pivotal role in a supernatural series titled – Laal Ishq.

Talking about the reason behind this 2-year break, Mahhi Vij says, “After doing shows like Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Balika Vadhu; I was really looking out for strong scripts. To be honest, I did get few offers but I was not at all convinced with it; the scripts were not strong enough. When I came across the concept of Laal Ishq; it really impressed.  And I also wanted to be a part of a supernatural show. So far, I have done just one episode, but I want to do more of it. Let’s see.”

The actress further added, “Also, many assumed that I don’t want to take up work and this also became one of the reasons behind my break. Of course, I want to work more and I would really love to see myself doing a daily soap soon.”

Spilling the beans on her character in Laal Ishq, Mahhi further added, “I am playing this girl who is from small town and falls in love with a guy. Post that, everything changes for her. Unfortunately, she dies at very young age and comes back to get her love back. Although, I don’t believe in such concepts but again pata nahi kab kya ho jaae (smiles).

On personal front, Mahhi Vij was recently trolled for dragging her kids for publicity stunt at one of the event. Mahhi was asked by the media to pose with her children and Mahhi pulled back one of the kids to keep the boy from running around and to stand for photographs at the media's request.

However, this did not go down well with trollers who accused Mahhi of dragging her kids to pose for the limelight. The trollers openly shamed the actress for using her adopted children just for the sake of publicity.

When questioned about the same, she replied, “I really doesn’t bother me at all. It is really very bad. People are misusing the platform to accuse someone. I don’t care what people talk about me as long as I know what I am doing. Basically, these people want attention by writing about celebrities; but honestly it doesn’t affect me at all.”

Last year, Mahhi and Jay partially adopted their caretaker’s two children where the couple will fund their education and other basic needs.
