TV actor Hiten Tejwani who was last seen in the Salman Khan hosted show, Bigg Boss has joined the team of multi starrer film, Kalank. Though the actor has acted in a couple of films before, but still he feels that being a part of a movie like Kalank is important for any actor.

“The excitement level is definitely high because this is the kind of project which I was really looking forward. It’s a very good project to be associated with. I will start shooting for the film by the end of this month,” Hiten Tejwani said in an interview.

Hiten Tejwani who has experimented with diverse characters on the screen aims to be the role model for the young generation. Talking about it, the actor says, “Honestly, when it comes to good work, I want to become an example for many people. I have been in this industry for so many years and still I get nervous whenever I take up a new project. With Kalank too, I am nervous but excited too. All I want to concentrate is on doing good work and be an example to young actors.”

Talking about his icon from Bollywood industry, Hiten shares, “I like the work of Ram Gopal Verma, Anurag Kashyap and Maniratnam. Their realistic approach towards life impresses me. Also, actors like Nawazuddin Siddique, Manoj Bajpaae and Irrfan Khan are my favourites. They are masters in what they do; I really consider them as my icon.”

Hiten Tejwani who started his acting career with a TV show and became one of the popular faces of Indian television today, says he will not leave the small screen completely.

“It will be very wrong in my part to say that I don’t want to do television; I owe my career to TV. As of now, I am occupied for few months and hence cannot do a daily soap; however I will never quit TV,” the actor concluded.

Hiten will share screen space with established actors such as Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit in this Karan Johar production directed by Abhishek Verman.

Apparently, Hiten’s character - Ahmed shares screen space with Sanjay, Aditya and Alia. He is a trusted employee in a company owned by Sanjay’s character where he also interacts with Aditya and Alia.
