Royal bride Meghan Markle begins the wedding procession down the aisle of St. George's Chapel

May 19, 2018 will go down in the world history as a striking, feminist moment forMeghan Markle, in an unprecedented step for a royal bride in the UK, walked down the aisle of the chapel nave. The former actress made quite bold move in her wedding to Prince Harry on Saturday, choosing not to be chaperoned for much of the procession down the aisle of St. George's Chapel here in London.

For the first part of the bridal procession, bridesmaids and page boys kept the beauty company, with a church figure walking ahead of them. Prince Charles, father of Harry, joined Meghan when she reached the Quire where the important royal guests have been seated.

However, Charles will not give her away to her husband-to-be in the traditional sense - instead, he will stand back as Markle approaches Harry. Needless to mention, the lady has asserted herself as an independent woman of substance.
